Is it just me or does the Chim actually look pretty damned good with the hard top on?

hard tops indicate you drive a convirtable purely for posing.

I have my roof off whenever it is not raining.

Bit of a sweeping assumption there! Personally prefer to have the roof on when I'm driving home from work on a cold damp night, does that make me a poser?

I like it, but I'd like it a lot more if it didn't have that daft triangular side window. Why fit that? Its not as if you need it.

I suppose the non-factory hard top qualifies as a modification...re Monster Meet

I have my roof on when going to and from work.

However, having a hard top shows you have no intention at all of taking the roof off.

The Griff and Chim roof is basically a removable hard-top, so I don't see the point of this.

Quite like the idea and look.
Only problem i can see is - In the past i have read a lot of threads saying help locked out dead battery how do i get into the car and as every long standing tvr driver knows there is a trick which would not be possible with new hard top in place. - So does it come with a tin opener?

This looks a good solution for the wimps Has anyone looked at a proper folding top for the Griff? I hate having to lay out the contents of the boot every time I have to put the top up or down.

I thought of a canvas folding centre section, but think that a standard MGF MX5 or even MBG type arrangement would be ok. A powered push button system would be good, but we are talking about a classic TVR here, such comforts would be a bit out of place.

Of course I would then want a tonneau cover, so that if it only rained a little, I could just zip up the passenger side.

Sorry to resurrect an old thread, but it was linked to from the recent thread on the split roof.

This kind of inverse posing always confuses me. Ok, so you're rock hard and go out in the snow in just your T-shirt and douse yourself in buckets of iced water. Woopy-ing-doo.

I don't see why anyone has the right to say what other people should or should not do with their cars. I didn't buy my Chimaera because it was a convertible, I bought it as a 2-seater RWD car with a stonking V8 in it. If someone wants a hard top on it then who are you to judge?

Its funny to hear the grifter boys whinging about no room in their boots.
And after all that golf club grief they dish out to us Chim pilots .

Can't see the point. If you look after the roof they come with then they are pretty water-tight.
As has been said before, why buy a convertible and stick on a hard-top?

Also, I recently saw the Chim version in the flesh....not that pretty. Triangular quarter light and flat rear screen just don't look that great. Only my opinion of course.
