Got a copy of this book as a present from my daughter today (her middle name is Tasmin biggrin ) and it is a really good read, but will take a while to get through as it is very comprehensive.

Also nice to see reference to my 450SE's 0-100-0 test back in '91 (even if the Autocar report took some journalistic licence by avoiding saying they boiled the brakes which brought testing to a premature conclusion!).

The picture of the car at a TVRCC day at Castle Coombe is also one of my favourites and nice to see published. I seem to recall taking a certain Mr Dodds for a few laps that day as well.

Couldn't agree more. Much better than other car books I've read. Really like the case study-style articles and all the various insider anecdotes. Thanks Ralph.

I can only echo previous comments-
a great read, well written; certainly my best xmas present (Thanks mrs B!).
in reply to englishmans comments-; 23 years ago- my 390 SE made way for our offspring; who would also have been named Tasmin if a girl, as it turned out-we had a boy.

The club can't even buy them for that. Another negative for small retailer when faced with giants like Amazon.

Yes it is, on the first page of the 'Chimaera' chapter. Picture of it outside the factory. You also get a mention in the Acknowledgements at the start
Thanks Puff, Just catching up with PH. smile
Got the book for Xmas, good read. The picture was taken at back home 2006. The last before the closure. frown
