Is it me, is this getting a bit cryptic or do I have rejoin the tvrcc to find out?
Nothing cryptic, the question was asked why PH didn't spot this press release about the iStream Carbon and it's subsequent adoption by TVR for their car. I pointed out that it has already been featured and commented on in Sprint (Sprint 1 - PH 0 ) DA observed that journalism on PH is lazy unless handed to them as finished copy.V8 GRF said:

Just roll with the waves. It seems like, secret dodgy handshakes and who's better than who games, I'm in the know, your not, etc etc etc
If someone has bought new TVR's in the past and intend to do so in the future, then they will do so.

It's all public domain so it might just be easier to simply read about it. It seems like, secret dodgy handshakes and who's better than who games, I'm in the know, your not, etc etc etc

A little more information (but most just a revamp of previous stuff) here plus a slightly updated Autocar rendering (front intakes, wheels and tyres, louvres in wheel arches, etc.). Still very positive about the future of TVR and happy to have placed an early deposit.

nice, looks even better without those silly wheels on the previous rendering. I too have put down a deposit (early hours of day 2) and can't wait to get more information about the car!Edited by Snakes on Friday 22 January 10:05

That article has comments from early 2014? It's just a rehash of several previous articles. Cropley must be on retainer to regurgitate this stuff with a slightly different drawing in lieu of actual news every few months. This is the most bizarre product launch ever.Remember Les has already been quoted (in the article) as saying "............Our intent is to unveil the styling of the new car in the coming months at a public event, although we will be conducting car clinics before then. There will be an opportunity for deposit holders to register interest if they would like to participate."
And, the article goes on to say "TVR sent out a teaser image of its new sports car over Christmas, and later admitted that the drawing was in fact a modified version of Autocar's own rendering. The image was intended to give deposit holders a taste of what the car will look like rather than reveal any of its production details......."
So not much point in criticising the design as portrayed. We'll all just have to wait and see although I like the idea of having the chance to be involved in the feedback design clinic.
