I bought a DAB stereo a few years ago which came with a self-adhesive windscreen aerial. I simply stuck it on the inside of the door and it works just as well as the one in my van.

I will be fitting a DAB shortly but have been told the aerial needs earthing?

No, it's a di-pole antenna, no separate electrical connection to ground, only a coaxial connector into the head unit.

I've just bought a DAB head unit and an amplified bee-sting type aerial for my Griff, and while not yet fitted after reading various posts on here my plan is to stuff the aerial up the inside of the windscreen pillar where (apparently!) there is space

If its like mine, it came with a very long leads. So with the head unit wired up and hanging loose out of the dash, i experimented walking around with Ariel trying different locations. I was really surprised how much better they are now and it worked perfectly tucked up above the fuel tank in the boot...the other advantage here is its well away from all the electrical "noise" up front.

Carl Baker fitted one of these to my Griff and it's very good.

I tried all sorts of hidden ones on the Cerbera. Ended up with a JVC Hal 4 on the rear window, which gives brilliant reception.
