Any reason why not to route the fuel hose along the top rails?
Takes it away from the exhaust and moving parts plus shorter total length required.
Decided to do the whole lot in flexible to reduce the number of inaccessible connections.
Bad move? Something I've not considered?

I cant see any reason why not, other than it will be an exhaust off job to change them.

Must admit i considered it when i did mine.

Looking good BTW.

Dropping the exhaust I hope wouldn't be too labourious if I still have the car in 5 or more years
it would make sense to change the lot after such time having heard too may reports of leaks.
I'll check for chafing before the body is finally back on.

I think you should install rigid fuel lines with an accessible (and servicable) hose at the engine side and at the filter/pump side (which you cannot avoid anyway) The rigids should have rubber mantles (just my 2p.....)

^^ agree but my thinking was an unbroken run of hose has to be at less risk of failiure than one with connections, some of which are hidden.
I'll give it some thought, thanks for the commentsmile
