Did you get the exhaust on Peter and did it make a difference?

Haven't fitted it yet Graham as I need to speak to you about whether you want the rear bracket cut and welded into position that would suit our later cars.

Call you later.

Listen, don't mention the shoes. I mentioned it once, but I think I got away with it all right.

After getting lost on the runway in the fog at 8am, it was a relief to see peter's camper looming out of the fog smile..I just knew it would turn into a great day it did.
Thanks to everyone for making it such good day out

Me too. I had driven most of the circuit in the fog, albeit at 20 mph towing the TVR on the trailer, before I stumbled across a guy putting out cones. Did have a lovely chat on the way round in the fog with a gorgeous 20-something female in military fatigues and a beret, but that's another story.......whistle

Had a great day out today meeting everyone.

Peter please thank your wife for the tea and biscuits, and Qbee for the trip round in a very well sorted Chim!

Till next time keep it smooth;-)
Most welcome.

Why was it when I offered to take anyone out for a drive in the afternoon, everyone refused.

Confused and mildly offended wink

I get car sick, even with your smooth driving, Peter, and yesterday's circuit was both bumpy and had a lot of sharp direction changes in the complex and chicane. Pure vomit territory...... vomit

One thing I would find it useful to understand. My new track tyres did not produce any little balls of loose rubber, despite a lot of hard cornering. I glanced at other people's tyres, but didn't see any tell tale rubber balls - so the question is, how do your tyres look today? Is it just mine, or was it the track surface?

Mine too...checked Chloe's fronts on the Audi expecting them to be pretty bad judging by the continuous smell of cooked brakes all day long and the didn't look as if she'd even been on track.

Must have been the surface being different to race tracks. My new front tyres were screaming on every long fast corner, and particularly the 180 at the end of each lap, though trail braking into the corners did help a bit. Were your new tyres protesting?

Was great to meet you all yesterday afternoon and put some faces to the PH handles.

Thanks to Peter for the passenger laps. Really did highlight the difference in power and handling between my boggo 4.0 and your very well sorted 5.5 (your superior driving skills may have also helped smile)

Hopefully next time we meet I'll be driving rather than spectating.

I struggled to get heat into my tyres, despite a rear wing I power drifted out of the 180 every time

Hey boys, I've only just found this, haha, even slower on track smile
Passenger rides are horrendous to be honest, I nearly chucked up in Anthony's car off the line, haha,
Sorry Peter,, it's just to fast smile actually your right mate, what a glorious car it is, I should have got a grip!

The tyres Anthony, purely the surface I'd say, also not any long fast corners,, it was bumpy but seemed like high grip surface from where I sat yikes there again I'm always on lessor grip tyres than you so you might disagree !

Remarkably I was at Donnington on Tuesday with my friends Mazda race car, similar tyres to you,, far more camber and hard shocks etc but he was only putting in 4 lap sessions,, tyres barely had any tyre rubber roll all day,,, they were upto temp for two laps each time as was confirmed when re entering the pits but the tyres never got overly hot, that's when they feel the abuse much more it seems, plus the fact my friends very smooth.

Yes, but how was his driving? wink

I am sure the track surface was more quickly than the traditional race circuit.

I was breaking hard for those sharp bends with the front locking up slightly but not going anywhere and when flipping the car around the tight chicanes the back was always breaking loose but immediately gaining grip again without any drama.

Who's driving ? , my mate managed a 1.52.04 on the GP circuit and that's on the pace of the winner the last time the Mazdas raced on that circuit,, but that was 3 years ago so I have no idea to be honest.

Haha,, I got ya,, hahah, bald as a bald thing too,, but he is,, it often pisses me off cos it looks like he's not trying so I'm always geeing him up to get more aggressive and (attack) as a wonderful French man once pronounced to me after looking at my bike tyres hehe
