Yeah I know, but it would add a dose of reality. I suspect loads of people watch this show and assume they can restore a Cerb, or an Esprit or a Moggy Minor in three days, and any of us who have done anything vaguely similar will know that ain't the case.
Because they have to edit out a lot of what takes place, I'd be interested to know just how long each car actually took.
They did a VW Corrado recently and it was put up for sale for around £5,000 (I think?) on Carandclassic. On the show they replaced various bits and pieces and as usual presented the final invoice for the parts etc.Because they have to edit out a lot of what takes place, I'd be interested to know just how long each car actually took.
I enquired about the car and on top of the work done, it had new front suspension and the paint had been professionally detailed along with a full interior valet. These items were never mentioned on the show so in reality they made a loss. Those interested in buying the car were invited to London where they bid against each other. The winner was filmed 'buying' the car. Think he paid £5,500. Its a good format that works and has been going a long time so I'll be watching the next series.
