Yes, back on subject, got my invite for 18th March. Dogs ........ or what??
Me too! Mine's for the 19th @ 10:00. Can't wait!The only day I could have made was the 25th...and I got the 25th
Flights booked for me and the missus, and pitching up in a rental Corsa from the airport.
It would have been great to be there on the first 'reveal' day, as I'm sure the hints/descriptions will be rife after that and will kind of spoil the surprise...but it had to be the 25th, so happy I got the slot I wanted.

Spending the kids inheritance just because we're not getting old or senile as quickly as earlier generations did is just wrong... kids have a right to your money, and you really should consign yourself to a home as soon as possible so they can buy a proper motor and use it to visit you (in your home of choice) once a month... or 3 or 4 times a year... last year my parents did one of these remortgage things that allows them to take equity out of there estate, to give them some cash to spend on things they like and get greater enjoyment out of their twilight years.. clearly this is just wrong and selfish... My Dad asked me what I thought of his newly purchased Honda CRV or whatever its called, and which he loves... I told him it was crap, he didn't need a new car, and I it was very unthougtfull to be spending my inheritance on crap he didn't need.
Anyway, rant over... older people and their need to hang on to their money really pisses me off... I mean how can you enjoy anything at all in life once you've hit 60... bloody preposterous... selfish old basterds...

What a load of bull. Given current life expectancy you will be nearing retirement before both parents die. I am just 10 years away from retirement and my mother is still going strong.Anyway, rant over... older people and their need to hang on to their money really pisses me off... I have had to earn every penny I have. My mother has some investments but we are happy if she spends it herself to enjoy her few remaining years. Why on earth do you think they have a right? I do intend to leave a reasonable amount to my children, but they should not expect to receive much, it makes for a lazy and selfish attitude because 'Mum and Dad will leave us enough money that we do not have to worry about a proper career'.
