Here it is in all its Welsh glory.

There's lovely boyos. biggrin
Is that a Fulvia, surprised it isn't a pile of red dust by now...
It's a Gilbern, as well as a poor attempt at humour!

Shame on you! Don't you know your Gilberns when you see one? redcardwink
That explains why it isn't a pile of red dust then.....

Another month gone. As far as I know, no network reveal yet.. Any one had any deposit holder comms?
No contact at all, getting to get a bit pissed off a bit now
Passed that stage months ago, now just getting bored to the extent of pulling the deposit and dropping it into a chassis refresh on the Cerb..
It's certainly a bizzare way of managing customer expectation, especially as everything points to a higher price point. You'd think they'd be making you dizzy with excitement so it became a "must have".

Hasn't Brexit thrown a spanner in the works of the finance arrangements, won't they now be lobbying to get some funds from the Brit government as surely the Europeans will pull the plug on the arrangements in place to fund the industrial estate and factory, is there an actual factory being built yet.

Looking at that factory site it doesn't look like it going to cost much to rent, not sure where any subsidies are needed, certainly not to the tune of the £30m banded about.

Isn't that two Gilbern, a blue and a green one?!

Last news from the factory was the job advertisment for a production director under http://tvr.co.uk/noise/vacancy-production-director published 1. August. Note that they are not seeking agency assistance at this point in time, but maybe they are still waiting for applications?

I love this place - various pieces of information from all over the place. But you would think the company could issue, say, a quarterly progress update to depositors rather than relying on individuals to sniff out these snippets.

Maddening isn't it.

I had hoped that the TVR bosses would have had someone in mind for this key role, and head hunted them?

Maybe, as engineers (as opposed to marketing/pr men), they have 'better' things to occupy their time and are blissfully unaware of the 'need' for a constant drip feed/ buzz/ soundbite/ media release/ teaser/ leak/ bcensoredt that is prevalent in everything from politics to product launches these days?
That aside, I concur, the investors (deposit holders) should be kept informed better than this.

"A quick note to our deposit holders. We realise you are all desperate for an update but here'e the thing. We're behind schedule, quite a lot in fact. That said we are 100% comfortable with the progress that has been made and there is no doubt in our minds that we will deliver. It's just taking longer than we originally planned and the whole Brexit malarkey has screwed with some of our plans. We've secured the factory now but as I'm sure you will understand it takes a lot more than premises to get a car built - especially to the demanding standards that we (and GMD) have set for ourselves. So rather than tell the world that we're massively behind and have the press crucify us prompting the cancellation of half the deposits, we figure you lot are a hardy bunch and we're just going to hold out on saying anything until we have good news and good news alone. A couple more months - it will be worth it! Lots of love, Les."

smile Oh alright then. It was me. Sorry, I though the wink and sign off made it obvious. We're clearly too close to the edge of our seats. Wouldn't it be nice though...

Hahahha rofl very good. It was the bit about the press hounding them into giving the money back that gave it away. But other than that very plausible.

Looks like they can save a few quid on painting the place as the colours look right!

er, i don't think anyone will be even slightly surprised. No one, and i mean no one, not even GMD, take a brand new platform to volume in less than 2 years, even more so when starting completely from scratch........

Also, why not tell the press? They'll find out, and then you'll look stupid. Tell the truth, that's all you can do, imo.
