New TVR still under wraps!
Discussion
Article in the Times on Saturday...mainly on the funding issues/new sponsors of the Circuit of Wales. New TVR production plant mentioned.
The main man behind the construction of the circuit stated that he hoped the UK round of the Moto GP would come to the circuit, once constructed.

I think they've missed a trick, drip feeding or even a regular detail update on aspects of design or the odd glimpse of a corner or angle to the bodywork, a door jam, or something, a bit of carpet
Get people talking, social media and all.
Pity really because I think it would be creating huge hype.

Alun, have you been back to the factory since your first posting of pictures on here? have you any new photos of the re-furbishment work of the potential new factory?
Indeed.I bet not a thing has been done.

It's still there and it's still blue I'd imagine, haven't been back to look.At least I provoked a response from the gaffa himself
Nice car
Taken some weeks ago
I wonder how Brexit effects things,
At the end of the day it doesn't matter when the cars shown to the public as long as when it is it has the essence of Tvr.
The factory is a workspace with a roof, interior pics suggest it won't take much to get it how they need it.
When I was there it was strange, very quiet, it was a nice feeling to hopefully be standing by the new Tvr home, I really did imagine the sound of forging, hammers and men and women working their hearts out trying to make this work.
Passion is what cars like these have to be about, not all Ferrari's are the best but the name spells passion,
Passion sells and enters the hearts of owners and the general public alike.
It's better for Tvr to take time to get it right,
Owners like me are inlikely to own a new Tvr but the effect on the general publics perception of Tvr will be effected so we all have a vested interest really.
For too long our cars frighten folk away, a New Tvr that's built to a high standard and looks goes and sounds the part, coupled with more dealers signing up and seeing the TVR sign above garage showrooms proudly displaying cracking examples,
Modern and old together, it could be spectacular.
I should be in marketing

Let's not forget that many of the older Tvr's are now making there way across the pond, rare as rocking horse teeth yes, but pics and the brute force of these cars making there name across the water will raise awareness.
If Brexit means Brexit then surely the States has to be a target market, it could go huge employing thousands of people,
There has to be a very special place in many drivers hearts for a proper modern Tvr, competitively priced, still brutal, still light and handle like a race car, with mainly driver skill as the means to going fast.
Non or mild Driver aids with an off button.

I commented not long after this was posted earlier in this thread that I was informed by TVR that this location is not going to be the factory. It was one of the locations they viewed but they're not progressing that location.Whoever made the announcement be it the owner of the building or some government official was incorrect.

In the heat of the moment I must have missed your comment, could have saved a right load of Agro! Whoever made the announcement be it the owner of the building or some government official was incorrect.
I wonder how recent political changes are effecting finance.
Can't imagine the Welsh want to throw their euro millions at it when they face trying to get funds from central government come Brexit.
Maybe they should be designing it to take on the US, a brute force car with engineering the Yanks like and understand,
I think this a great opportunity for TVR to take advantage of the current currency rates at some point. Whilst I'm by no means an expert on the manufacturing regulations within the UK, one would assume we follow, and will continue to follow the EU rules to the text. Meaning as long as we continue to enjoy free trade with the EU (which is highly likely), TVR could make a move into the European market without much trouble or cost apart from the standard costs and those associated with transaction, translation and economic exposure.
The US market may be a different kettle of fish. However with the WTO pushing for further free trade agreements, and manufactures lobbying for standardised regulations on safety and manufacturing. TVR could make a move in the US market at some point. If I was TVR I'd personally focus on establishing the brand over the next 5-10 years within the UK and Europe, and if successful, use it's success their to launch into the US market.
At this point there are still far too many unknown PESTEL factors which could both positively and negatively influence TVR. With delivery dates scheduled for mid-to-late 2017, there's still plenty of time to understand whether serious expansion into the European market is economically viable. I personally think there are a number of successful individuals working on this project for them to have every chance of enjoying some success. We should certainly wait until we actually see the final product before passing judgement on their future success.
