Bear in mind that Les Edgar was in part responsible for Aston Martin's quite successful return to La Sarthe not so long ago.
I didn't know that, what part did he play? Was it sponsorship, I can't remember.
He was the initial seed for their return with this http://www.theautochannel.com/news/writers/lrobert...
AM conducted their review and took a route with Prodrive.

Some say it's LE's dream to race at Le Mans and that's what his motorvation is,
Surely the worst possible way of doing that is to start a production car company??? ;-)

Probably the most costly. It would have been easier to buy a customer Ford GT which comes with a free Ford Engine all ready to go. Just add stickers.

Thanks. So do I assume that EA Games sponsorship didn't come to fruition? If so I guess that's probably why I was unaware of it.

Only Ford have not sold any customer GTs and at this stage have no intent of doing so.

Nah, it's pretty cheap actually. All you do is drape a cloth over a load of old boxes and you're done...

Was their any mention on what the expected curb weight will be? I wonder if sub 3000lbs is possible with all the new safety standards

I thought the only figure they've given themselves was 400bhp/t, I'd expect it to be easier to get extra hp out of a crate engine that makes a conservative 425bhp that can be made to make 550bhp with little change than lose weight off a already 'light' car.

I would think, that a carbon fibre monocoque would allow them to manufacture a two seater with a curb weight closer to 2,250lb to 2,450lb, with the latter being rather porcine.

Best regards,
Bernard.

You like the what? a moody black website and one page of waffle and an expectation that you are going to place a deposit. Still very surprised that there is no prototype or even a physical mock up.

Realistically, are we really looking at production in 2017??

Factory still an old shell, and no sign of anything changing at present?

Only progress for me, and the used owner ferternity,is the used car price going up, with the prospect of TVR back in the fold

Struggling with the lack of information flow tbh.
My main car is due replacement in March and tbh knowing whether I'm going to get the new Tiv or not plays a part in what I get. So delaying the reveal until end of Jan is not best for me, my heart says the new car is worth waiting for, my head says forget it. If they are still a going concern pick one up in a few years time. I leaning towards the latter......

15.12.2016. Existing TVR owners, your assistance is requested
Do you own a TVR? Is it a clean and generally unmodified example as the factory would have supplied? If the answer is yes then we would welcome you to make contact as we will be arranging a professional photoshoot to bolster the TVR graphic archives for some exciting future projects and your car could be the star!
Multiple photos will be taken of each vehicle involved, together with the recording of additional details, including possibly some video and this material will form a key part of a future presentation.
More details will follow but if you wish to be considered to take part, please contact us at heritage@tvr.co.uk marking the subject field with “Heritage Photoshoot” followed by your TVR variant (for example, “Heritage Photoshoot – Sagaris” or “Heritage Photoshoot – Cerbera”) and please also include a colour image of your car within the email. (A JPEG of at least 640 x 480 resolution is preferred.)
We wish to cover all variants of TVR, so please don’t be shy. Once we have a large enough field of applicants we will provide and request more details by return.

Interesting, not sure there are many clatter cam 1996 Cerbera 4.2's 'unmodified', as the engines went pop, mine went through two in the first year... If they are looking visually unmodified, then all well and good... Might have a punt but I have RL7 wheels now and that is probably the only thing a nerd could tell was different from when it left the factory during the first year of full Cerbera production...
