I don't have access to a lathe but I need to get something like this made up:

It will largely be hidden so no problem making it in two pieces with the pin threaded into the body of the boss. The pin needs to be steel as a grub screw grabs it and the body ideally from something non-conductive like a hard nylon or other plastic. The piece will not be load bearing.

Anyone ?

Could it be made in one piece or does the larger part need to be non conductive?

I think I could get away with one piece construction at the dims I've chosen as that would allow an insulator self adhesive pad on the bottom face.

Actually that's not a bad shout, I've just realised I can simply make the lower boss and drill through with a recess for a hidden bolt so I don't even need to tap a thread in. Grub screw should pick up on the exposed thread and I have a face to araldite the end of the nylon to as well. Just seems a pity to be buying a whole length of something you only want a smidgen of but sure I'll find a use for the other 90% in due course !

Hi Steve,
I'm thinning my spindles down for a better air flow through the throttle body. I've gone about as thin as I dare while retaining some strength but I need to prove them on my own car before doing anyone else's.
