I have a Tuscan S with an upgraded 4.3 speed six. I've owned the car for many years and have always run it on Toyos, initially T1S or T1R. When I upgraded to the 4.3 I couldn't use the additional power with these tyres (wheel spin all the way to 80 mph). I was then recommended the Toyo R1R which is brilliant in the dry but completely useless in the wet, which is fine for most of my driving, however I'm going on a serious road trip to the Alps and need something that can perform as well as the R1R in the dry but also perform relatively well in the wet, in case it rains heavily? Does such a tyre exist? Any help much appreciated.

I used Michelin Pilot Super Sports on my 350Z and M3; great tyre in the dry and wet. Never tried it on a TVR though - assume they'd be fine, but the TVR being lighter and more powerful, it might make a difference? :-/

I'll probably go with MPSS when I change mine in the summer.
