Having owned a TVR for a while now there seems to be very few, if any, meets or events around this area?

There are some fantastic places to meet and what a spectacle it would be to see and hear these monsters rumbling down the prom.

Just wondered if there was any reason for the apparant lack of meets in this area of the NW??

Have you contacted the local TVRCC region?

Seem to be several events coming up in the next few months

Hi

Am not a member of TVRCC so don't get the list.

I see there are a couple of meets in local ish areas, the most frequent being the Phantom Winger. Having said that, this meet is rammed with all sorts of exotica and the TVR cars are fairly dispersed.

Just thought it would be a good idea to have meets in Blackpool and maybe advertise them on say PH where non TVR club members can see them.......unless new customers aren't welcome biglaugh

Hi Tony, fair play in volunteering your services to organise meets and events in your region, as its a big undertaking, and l take my hat off to all the regional organisers in the TVRCC for their efforts as its an unpaid role, they do it for the love of this great marque smile .

I went to the last supercar Sunday at Broughton and it was packed out with some great cars on show. Sunday just gone I went to Wrea Green near Kirkham for their car show and there was a group of about 8 TVR's there. There is another car show in blackpool on Sunday which shoul be worth a look.
It would be good to organise a local run out or something similar, I would defo be up for that.

Didn't say that I was organising.....wish I had the time but unfortunately I haven't.

Not being a member of the club I just wondered if there was anything organised where non club members could attend?

There are loads of owners in the NW and thought that there may be some drive outs, evening runs maybe??

If someone wants to give me honorary membership it may be that we could organise evening jaunts, maybe round the Trough but always including Starbucks biglaugh

Why don't you join the TVRCC TONY it's only a £1 a week. Even if the only reason for going to the meets is to pick at Heath Brigg's TVR brain is worth the membership alone?

Hi Tony,

I am the Regional organiser for the Blackpool Region of the TVR car club. We have held meetings in many venues in Blackpool over the years I have been the Organiser. Our club nights / meetings have moved around pubs for many reasons including, slow service, poor food, big screen televised football matches,Pub Question time etc. We moved to the Phantom winger a few months ago because there are always plenty of different cars to see and good breakfasts along with space to gather the members together for a chat. we often go on from there for runs out round Lancashire etc..

Petrol heads with other types of car sometimes come with us, so though not strictly a member you are more than welcome to join us. We usuall meet at around 11am in the eating area of the Phantom and I announce items of interest and what is coming up in the way of events. Heath at X Works is a member of the club and also competes in Sprints and hill climbs with several other Blackpool members. Details of up coming events etc are on our regional website https://tvrblackpool.com/. The next meeting is on Sunday the 19th June at the Phantom Wingerso come and introduce your self to any of the guys standing next to the TVR's. Some of us will be competing at Barbon Hill climb on the 11th of June and at 3 Sisters at Ashton in Makerfield on the 18th of June so again if you can make it come over and introduce yourself.

Hope to meet up soon Regards Dave Welton

Hi Dave

Am sure we have already met, I'm the guy who bought the mint V8S off Stuart (Mohito)

Am a regular at Phantom but by the time finished chatting there's not much time left to go for a run without eating too much into the day. Maybe will try to judge response at next meet to see if anyone is up for evening runs??

Will also have a chat with Heath and see whats what.

Been out on loads of runs with other PH members (not TVR) and just wondered if TVR guys had similar things organised.

Cheers - Tony

I've been to dozens of TVRCC meets over the years and never once been asked if I was a member (other than more formal ones like Chatsworth, Burghley, Cadwell Park). It's not like a guy stands on the door of the pub where our region meets and checks you're on a list.

I was at X Works on Wednesday for MOT and new tyres fitting - there was a blue V8S on the ramp that Heath was working on. Looked very tidy. Was that your car Tony?

No, mine is virtually identical to Simons TVR23 that wins all the awards.

Ask Heath about mine and he will give you an unbias opinion - its a really nice example.

Do you live locally.......am getting the car MOT'd tomorrow so may be out over the weekend.
