Hhmmmm. People need to mention TVR Group when they book so please make sure you do.

Group bookings are put through in one go about a week before the event as per phazed's post. If in anyone is in doubt please call MSV and double check you're on the group list.
My fault I booked online and had not called them, I dropped them a quick email this morning to update my booking to be part of the group.

So you'll be going in the TVR then Nick?

No, almost certainly in the Porsche, the TVR is still up in Norfolk and is having work done to make it nice for purely back on the road.

MSV replied and said they have added me into the group - so at least that contributes to us getting a free garage. (they wouldn't retrospectively give me the discount)

Unfortunately I am withdrawing from this day.

I have a serious problem with my engine, (lost 3 L of water) and have taken the engine out to investigate.

This is more than annoying as brands Hatch is my local track and I love the Indy circuit.

I hope you guys have a great time and if I can I will come down to spectate and join in the general banter.

Water leaked into the engine, head gaskets ok.

If the head gaskets are ok then are you looking at a cracked block?
Are there other ways for water to enter the engine ?

Jeez, what a bummer this is, I'm sure your not a happy man Peter.
It seemed such a lovely engine, could it be the porous block syndrome.
Really sorry to hear this frown

Your heads have been worked, I suppose you could have a breach there.
Let's hope so!

That doesn't sound too clever Peter, I hope it is something that can be remedied moderately easily / cheaply.

I was planning on popping down to spectate as well. Car is working again but money is a bit tight this month so cannot justify a TD.

Sorry to hear about your problems Peter hopefully it won't be to expensive, if you do make it to brands you are welcome to a few laps in mine, looks like you might need a bit of cheering up.

I withdrew from MSV yesterday. They were very understanding and did not take my payment.

Plenty of spaces left.

Good and bad, good on MSV, Bad you won't be driving.

You can always take the Cerb round if you fancy it.

Thank you guys, very kind of you.

I will attend and if the offers still stand, I wouldn't be rude enough to refuse.

As for my engine, no reason discovered as of yet. Crank, pistons and rods out tomorrow.
