I didn't know you were at Shuttleworth at the weekend Derek?! I only live in Biggleswade but went to another local car show instead.
Lovely village, went for a shandy at the pub before heading back North on Saturday

So this weekend I raced at the penultimate rounds at York and was very happy with the car running relatively easy very low 12's NA. I got to the final on both days to be beat by Russ Pursley in the Dutton on Sunday and Simon Boot in Bootlegger on Monday.
On Monday I also raced in 'Hotrod Supercup'. It only ended up the 4 of us in the finals but 2 of these were Pro FWD (yes FWD!) cars that were quick. So for the first time this year I turned on the nitrous to use in anger albeit just a single stage 70 shot with a cold bottle. It was enough to get my times down to 11.1 and I took the trophy.

Just a visit to Shakey for the hot rod drags and the last race day on 18th and that's it for this year.

Just one thing that spoiled the weekend was a guy called Steve Sherwood who was rather confused to the marshals instructions and reversed his 200mph+ Toyota Supra into the front of mine resulting in this.

Well its now official. I have won.
Despite not making it to the Hot rod drags at Shakey this weekend neither did the only guy that could theoretically catch me on points.

I will still be at the final race round next Sunday at York but I went over on my ankle yesterday. I may have to find someone to pilot the car for me if my ankle isn't healed enough to push on my rather heavy clutch pedal!
