These people are barking.

That being said, there *are* a few things about that day that don't sit right with me. Building 7 for example. However, most of the conspiracy theories are off the charts crazy.

I think her video is more ridiculous than one in the above link, but I'm sure if I looked hard enough I could find a definitive link between Mumsnet and 911.

She is a fruit loop, and for the most part I don't believe any of conspiracy until it gets to the collapse of wtc7, that's a real shocking bunch of lies being told if I'm honest, that was brought down with TNT not fire.

Was it really.....?

Not being sarcastic (well a bit).

This has been proven? Who says it was and who says it wasn't?

Genuine question as I don't know much about any of this...

I saw it on the internet so it must be true.

Some bloke on the internet told me, so it must be true.

Not 9/11, but wasn't there a thread on here where someone claimed the moon landings were faked?

Not just a single posting and runs away but actually tried to justify his stance. Seemingly remember that PH took him rather harshly to task on that one.

I did hear of a conspiracy theory that says the International Space Station is faked, never managed to track it down though, perhaps it's a hoax conspiracy theory.

What about the pyramids? There's no way aliens weren't involved.

Same, but if you find building 7 suspicious, why not the rest? The twin towers both experienced free-fall accelleration, just like B7. There is a lot of evidence that explosives were used, I agree.

And as far as consipracy theories go, there are many things that have happened in the course of world history that would have been considered conspiracy theory or fantasy had they never been uncovered. Power has no morals.

Are there any major conspiracy theories that have turned out to be true?

But then again we rational sober dudes have no problem with Tony Blair signing off on two armed invasions followed by a spell as Middle East Peace Envoy.

Or David Cameron warning of WW3 if Brexit.

Actually, if you remember David Koresh and the government response (which might be termed OTT given the actual threat), followed by Timothy McVeigh citing it as one of his motivations then having the nutters publish their theories online is preferable to actions.

building 7 only appeared to be destroyed by explosives because of the mind-control chemicals carried by the planes for creating chemtrails ;D

I think David Icke has a scattergun approach. He has conspiracy theories for hundreds of things, one being a paedo ring inside the BBC. So he claims he's been proved right due to Savile and operation Yew Tree.

I suppose even a broken watch is right twice a day.

Yes, many.

A few off the top of my head:

Operation Paperclip
Tuskegee Experiments
Operation Northwoods
Deliberate alcohol poisoning during prohibition
The Reichstag Fire
Fascist takeover of US govt (Smedly Butler's testimony uncovered this)
The Gulf of Tonkin
NSA surveillance
