Hi,

I need at pre-2003 tapered front wheel bearing, to my complete surprise Caterham are out of stock (how are they still in business?) I'll try redline tomorrow, but does anyone know of anyone else that stocks?

Are they still Triumph Hearld standard parts, or are the Caterham ones a different spec?

Thanks

Rimmer Bros / Moss Europe... Redline will have 'em. You need inner and outer taper roller bearings and the felt seal.

As above - or you could try your local friendly bearing supplier that (like me) you've driven past dozens of times but not noticed.
I replaced one complete side last year. Removed the old bearings - showed them to the guy behind the counter - ten minutes later I walked out with two new bearings - unlike Caterham they were stock items.

But you're not going to get the felt seal at a bearing supplier.

Don't forget new split pins for the castellated nuts

Why not most bearing suppliers supply seals also in my 50 years of buying bearings

I dunno mate have you seen the felt seals they used on the old double taper rollers, probs a bit of a period feature.
