So, looking for advice around a regular parking ticket.
Stopped on Gloucester Road in Bristol the other day. Parked in a legit space and was prob away from the car for circa 20mins. I've received a ticket for being in a bus lane. Now I know you could call a cab to the kerb and annoyingly I did think about getting in a wee bit closer at the time but I thought sod it because my car was in line with the one behind.
I'll pay the fine of 30quid but is it worth disputing? It's more the principle than the money and to be fair I can't really see how my car was much of an obstruction and was in an actual space - the only reason I can think it was issued is because it's a about a foot from the kerb but hey ho...

is it actually a marked space (ie dotted line round it)? It looks like those further up might be but that you might be parked over the outside line. Plus, from that angle it looks like you are over-lapping the end of the space and the double yellow.
As already said, you need to check if it really was ok to park there at that time.
