Listening to the radio today, a Tony Irving programme at that, if you know the chap, I heard about this crazy project that has been on the planning table since 1969, more or less.
Here is the straight 16 engine, at just shy of 3.3m or 11ft

Impressive, but I can't help thinking that torsional vibration could be a major problem with a crank of that length.

What, the Tony Irving programme, or the engine?

Apparently the guy building it has plans to put it in a 30's inspired hot rod, all built new from scratch. I salute craziness like this.
