Good cast always helps. Wifey nearly spat her drink when she realised they were getting married at the same place we did !

Agreed. Perfectly adequate watching and not as weak as I expected it to be.

Plus I have a "thing" for Fay Ripley.

No complaints from me, loved Cold Feet and this didn't disappoint.

I'm a little less enthusiastic. Too many adverts for a start and it's changed the way it's been written (from re-watching the old ones recently) in that each episode used to be a little story in itself where you didn't necessarily need to watch the last episode to enjoy the current one. As long as you remembered who was shagging/marrying/divorcing who!

Tonights seemed like one big set up for whatever may be about to happen in coming weeks.

Trying to decide whether I enjoyed it because it was good, or enjoyed it for nostalgia's sake.

MrsC never watched the original and pronounced this perfectly acceptable.

Mind if I ask where this is, as the girlfriend and I like the look of it?

Thanks

Me and SWMBO were big fans back in the day. Got a bit confusing trying to remember how many kids they all had but other than that it was on top form. I wouldn't mind betting that this first episode will be near the top of the TV rankings his week.

Peckforton Castle in Cheshire:

We got married there in 2000 before they were taken over and went more upmarket with accommodation & PR, but was still a stunning location (particularly with a couple of TVR's parked out the front of it wink ) and you wouldn't believe how cheap it was back then for us (early days of cvil ceremonies). Now it's a place for the celebs, particularly footballers (Jamie Vardy, Fabrice Muamba, Wes Brown...).

i thought it was very enjoyable nostalgic but realistic in that things have moved on and mostly not for better as none of the friends are happy, interesting to see where it goes with new wife....-very cute

Didn't David and Karen have a son older than the twins?

Adam's new wife is too good to be true and he is definitely going to do it with the airbnb girl.

Indeed, Josh. Wonder where he is?

Yep, we enjoyed this too. However, and I hope I'm wrong. I can't help feeling that with most episodes on TV nowadays it's going to go downhill and very boring for a few weeks and rush the finish in the last episode. I do hope I'm wrong though !!

Glad its not just me and a "weird crush"....Didn't she bail out of the last series to avoid being typecast ? She also did the same on the recent Ch5 Suspects which has been pretty watchable.

Why in the world haven't they got over Rachel yet?

Have they agonised over every other woman Adam's been out with in the past 18 years?

Mind you, I was happy to see the back of her. Can't stand Helen Baxendale...

Just caught up with Ep.1; enjoyed it.

I have not re-watched the originals since they were first broadcasted; they were on ITV Player recently but I didn't have the time.

Anyway, agreed with the comment above regarding the Air B&B lady. (And she seems much more interesting than Angela anyway)

A welcome return. Only complaints are the occasional closing of my local for filming.
