The T350C always had odd tyre sizes, I've always used Toyo T1-R's.

However these seam to have run out and the options for a T350C sizes appear to be a motley collection of rain tyres, budget tyres and the odd premium sports tyre for which I'd have to put different brands on the front and back.

What have people who've recently bought tyres got and how did they work out, alternatively has anyone found a new supply for T1-R's?

...got Dunlop Sport Maxx RT on my Tamora 4.0 after having had Toyo R1R.
To me the Dunlops are great, quite sticky in dry reliable in wet conditions.

I a pair of rear T1Rs (they are the V pattern?) in the garage with less than a 1000 miles on if you want to make an offer? Standard size for the rear, can confirm when I get home.

They will be rather old now I'd imagine!

They were taken off the car 18 months ago having been on it for about 3 months - I won a full set of Eagles F1 Asyms on a PH competition hence the removal.

Well the T1R replacement came out 4/5 years ago.. There will be a manufacture date on them, when you had them fitted doesn't mean anything unfortunately.

I use Goodyear Eagle F1 front and rear and I am very happy with them. There are definitely better dry / semi-race tyres but the Goodyears are very good wet or dry.

I put four Eagle F1s on recently and don't like them . I suspect it could be pressure issue , what are other owners with F1s running with please.

I run 24psi all round. I only have experience of the original Goodyears and now the Eagle F1's and both were very pressure sensitive. Too hard (even by a couple of PSI) and the car felt like it would fly off the road at anytime. Lower pressures give more feel but too low and the tyres squeal.
One thing I did find was the car was horrible to drive when I only changed the rears but left the older Goodyears on the front. I will only change all four in future.

I'd love PSS on mine but I am guessing you are not running standard spider wheels?

i have a new set of Ns2r, 225 and 265, sticky road, ideally suited to wider rears than spiders though, bought for my tam which i subsequently sold. (and forgot these in the loft) pm if interested.....

alternatively, i had R1R on the tam, same sizes, those worked very very well with 630hp

Any mods necessary to get the 265's on the back? Also what wheels / offsetts did you go for?

Remember bumping into you at Shelsley once, what a great job you did on that Tam.

thanks, i had sp12 fitted. the inner arches needed a little fettling to get clearance, but it is straightforward, i spoke with Fibreon about what to do. Effectively you pull the carpet back in the boot area where the inner arch meets the outer skin. fill the v shaped void with fibrefill (takes about a tin of that to do both sidest, smooth off whilst wet, and when dry recover with carpet. you dont have to cut the carpet or even sand it back if you smooth reasonably. , its easy.

once dry, remove the wheel, then use a flap wheel to clearance as appropriate from inside the top of wheel arch. it took about an hour per side. you really only need to remove the inner lip over the top of the wheel to about 15 mm width. , as stock it is about 30 mm. once done, you cant see the mod, but it readily allows 265 rears, (the R1R actually measure more like 275)....

wider sticky R1R, or NS2R tyres definitely an improvement on mine.

Currently Tamy is wearing a set of Nankang NS-2R on 16-inch wheels. Factory width 225 all round. The 18-inch wheels have 225 all round too - Uniroyal Rainsport 3.

Both sets have been used on road and track in all conditions bar snow and ice. I've not had issue.

Geo and suspension done by Mat Smith.

She drives impecably. Plenty of grip.
