Is anyone paying the money some TVR's are at?
Discussion
The same old adds with inflated prices grace the classifieds month after month, most make's and model's included. I guess some of the seller's are not desperate to sell and are chancing it that they will sell their beloved chariot ( held in much higher regards by themselves obviously).
I have always wondered if some of these motors sell, impossible to keep up with them all.

A dealer likes top class examples as a sign of the quality they'd like to exhibit to customers, fine examples are worth their weight in gold for that reason as they rarely come up for sale so even though there not likely to sell at those prices dealers use such examples to show the difference between a good example and an exceptional one.
I have a mate who sells cars, some cars he prices high simply because he likes that particular car and knows he' ll have to go a long way to find another.
What I am seeing is a slow down in his cars sales, you'll get a deal now because it's no longer a sellers market, especially at this time of year and recent political changes have chaps who have invested heavily in the classic and second hand car starting to panic.
That's my theory.

Like someone said earlier on, the best cars sold by the most reputable agent(s) move quickly. The ones that hang around do so for a reason.
Totally agree, the right car with the right history from the most reputable agents don't hang around.http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/t...

I am the lucky new owner and can't wait to get in the drivers seat.
I think there are buyers out there willing to pay the money, because like myself they are looking for years of pleasure with their new TVR. The only issue that means some can hang around is that they are waiting until the right one for them turns up in the classifieds, and the chameleon green T350T is that case for me.

I didn't pay top price for my car some five years ago, to get it to a standard that would class it as a good one has cost me more than some of the higher priced cars are forsale I am the lucky new owner and can't wait to get in the drivers seat.

For the cars to go forward and new owners to be buying quality safe cars then the resale value has to reflect the cost of these renovations etc.
I invested in my Tvr for passion not resale value, truth is once you've finished the job (chassis) then it's good to go for a long time, easy car to own and enjoy, dips and troughs in economic times come and go but our sorted Tvr's will rumble along whatever
Congratulations James, you'll love it
Welcome to the mad house

Glad to be apart of the madhouse and plan to be here for a while.

It does look better in the flesh, the photos don't do the car total justice and make the interior look a little garish. The chameleon green tones are spot on as well. When I went for a test drive my only doubts were with the interior.

Are you the guy who picked up his new T350 from Jason today? I picked up my Tamora from its 12k service after you had left. Shame that your first drive was in that awful weather. Hope you stayed off the M40 on the way home.Glad to be apart of the madhouse and plan to be here for a while.
Welcome to the wonderful world of TVR ownership.

Fernhurst recently reduced their TVR prices, but it may be because the warranty is now extra and not included in the price. Nevertheless this one has had £8k knocked off it. They've had it about a year I think:

They don't have any Tuscans listed on their website:

Think this one has been there for a lot longer than a year, unless they have re-purchased it from a seller.http://www.fernhurst-tvr.co.uk/car-details.php?id=...

Hi Bobhon, yes that was me. It was a shame about the weather but it didn't dampen the enjoyment what so ever. Out again today to show it off to friends and family in some sunshine here. We stayed off the M40 thanks to Jason's advise, cut across to the M1 then back up to Yorkshire.
Another T350T heading to Yorkshire, I've not long since bought mine. Would be good to get the two of them together in the spring.Edited by James_G31 on Sunday 13th November 09:22
