Which car scene have you found to be the friendliest/nicest/most helpful. This can be single marque, type, classic club whatever.

I personally found the Porsche 924 club to be a great bunch, although it was 5 years a go since I sold mine.

They're all good really. I preferred the more beardy MGCC as I'm a bit of an MG geek but others prefer the MGOC, all very active. Facebook groups & forums too.

I've met lots of friendly like minded folks during my respective tenures in a Mitsubishi FTO, M3 and my Aston Martin - usual range of banter, silliness and help when needed.

I've not bothered with my more mainstream cars and my M3 hangout (M3Torque) had closed down by the time I got my Z4MR.

What a great opportunity to name whichever owners group you're a part of.

Air-cooled or water-cooled?

Air-cooled I'd agree.

Water-cooled absolutely not!

I would expect the Hispano-Suiza Owners Club to be rather friendly.

I was a member of the SIDC - Subaru Impreza Drivers Club - a few years ago, very friendly bunch. They organised runs, meet-ups, track days etc, most members were mature sensible'ish drivers and they had a very friendly forum.

Sadly, appears the online forum is pretty much deserted nowadays though.
