Apparently several of the EVO "better" writers are moving over to Drive Tribe to pen their driving experiences. EVO's readership has reduced quite significantly, as have most car mags, and something more visceral/raw/attainable is sought after for readership.
Still, nothing beats getting in your Tiv and experiencing it rather than reading about some car exotica which isn't within reach of the masses and amounts to pretty anaesthetised driving anyway....

If I understand correctly it sounds it'll be a good idea if it takes off. The idea is to have 'tribes' a bit like facebook groups. In your group people can post stuff but there will also be a leader who does cool things on their own, like chris harris/shmees old youtube videos and post articles. The problem is finding someone with enough spare time and experience to post decent enough stuff to run a tvr based tribe.

The quote by Hammond sounds like his usual garbage so I won't be bothering. Apparently several of the EVO "better" writers are moving over to Drive Tribe to pen their driving experiences. Underneath all the excitement this is an unpaid mass internship. "Once you upload anything to DriveTribe, the site’s owners can use it how they see fit, including selling it." That's the key sentence from this 'explainer': http://jalopnik.com/what-is-drivetribe-and-how-do-...
If any of you are interested a TVR tribe does exist. It's invite only until next Monday but then everyone's welcome

Hey Eric, how's things? Tried joining up but it's via Facebook only?(the social media service I've tried my best to stay away from) is there any other way of me joining?Would love to see the brakes on your machine since I shipped them your way how do you find them?
Thought I'd resurrect this thread. I joined up on Drive Tribe to see what all the fuss was about but I don't really get it. I chose about 10 tribes, TVR stuff, Astons, vintage & classic cars etc. but after a couple of months all it seems to be to me is somewhere where people post a picture and in some occasions people "bump" it. There doesn't seem to be any threads, chat or banter - unlike here. Am I missing the point?
