The door handle you have been sent was as fitted to earlier TVRs (M Series & some wedges).
You can (& should?) return it as not the correct part for your later V8S.

There are the odd mk2 escort / mk3 cortina nos outer handles on eBay and they look brand new by comparison
Just as a reference to condition, I will be requiring a few parts for my Griffith soon to get it back on the road
I'm guessing I won't be using them either if that's the sort of crap there churning out for top money,
And when are racing green actually going to open there new place, is it even still happening ?

It appears to be the correct part, albeit without the logo.

It's now winging its way back to Hampshire for a full refund.

I'm getting Glassman to sort my windscreen on the Tuscan and they have apparently told him that they don't deliver "until there's enough orders to put them all on one van"... yep great customer service!
Yup, this is absolutely true. Seems bizarre that you're effectively placed on hold until it's viable for the van to go out on a run. Still charge the £50.00 carriage/delivery too.

I'm quite prepared to drive over and pick up my own parts but Bordon isn't exactly down the road (not that it was that easy to do when it was Racing Green in Mytchett it has to be said).

Thought Id put my thoughts to this.

Agree that you have been poorly informed and treated, however I must say I have bought quite a bit from them over the last year and they have been spot on.

Always give the postage refund if necessary without asking, and have returned stuff with no quibble. Ive found Luke and Martin to be spot on.

All businesses have the odd customer service issue from time to time.

Hope you get sorted.

Just to echo what Willfin said. I've bought a fair bit from TVR Parts over the last months, and they've been pretty good, with competitive prices for the parts I've bought. There was a really rocky patch when they moved the warehouse, but they got their act together after that.

No excuse for sending out a shoddy seemingly used part though, but it sounds like the company has done the decent thing.

Unfortunately this was my first experience with TVR parts.

I do understand that some have been serviced well by them, for me it's the old adage "first impressions "

My first dealings were with them when they moved warehouse, and the bits I'd ordered went AWOL for about four weeks, so I can understand your reaction.

However, sometimes they have bits that other suppliers just don't, so you go to them or you lump it. And, as I said, prices are competitive normally.

Discount for being a member of the TVRCC is handy too.

Likewise I spent a fair amount with TVR Parts over the last 2 years. The warehouse move seriously impacted on their service but generally they've delivered promptly, prices are competitive, reimbursed postage when the actual postage cost is cheaper than advertised and certainly the stock of Wedge parts is now growing nicely.

For Wedge parts for me the top three are RT Racing, ML Performance and TVR Parts. Just my experience.

Good service this end to the few times I've used them and never experienced an issue with delivery.

There email response, or lack of needs serious attention. Although I'm a traditionalist and like to speak to someone.

Well, as quick as i am to critise bad service, I also give praise when praise is due.

I returned the Handle and assume it arrived this morning (Tuesday) and the refund was notified this afternoon.

Thank you TVR Parts you redeemed yourself.

To be honest the handles on the car are passable, I'm have a full restoration carried out and wanted to replace them with new units.
I'll send my existing handles to the company that re plated my fuel cap and let them sort them for me.

Thanks for the suggestion.

scratchchin I'm not sure that any glued components would survive the plating process Mike.

My experience of the old RG dept. and the new company too. Was hoping things would improve under new management but they haven't. Needs new leadership IMHO, something Les can sort out I'm hoping.
What makes you think it's new management, the only difference now is that TVR take a slice of the price
