Thats very impressive and on Charlies rollers, which are always believable unlike some places.
Cheers bloke. Gotta say so is yours at only 4.2 N/A, respect.

It always did around 343bhp but all the power on the ajp comes in at around 3K revs which made it a pain to drive around town, so I had it remapped to move the torque curve down toward 2K revs, which makes it a much easier car to drive, a bit more like the old Rover V8. It had a little intake work also to make sure the throttles were matched, closed properly etc.

This is how it came back but had badly cracked manifolds. I swapped them out for the ACT ones which made the final difference. TCS said I was losing a little more because I have the ACT quiet exhaust system, 2.5" bore, but it's fine/fast enough for me and doesn't annoy the neighbours when leaving early.

Thats it apart from regular servicing. Most important thing for me is it just drives great. You can be very lazy with the gears as it pulls easily from 2k revs, handy in this weather as I've been driving it all week.

Nice work, those 'AJP's are some motor for sure.

I love the Griffith/Chimaera 500.

The suggestion that a Cerbera of any type (for the record, they're all much of a muchness, be it S6 or either AJP) would be slower than the RV8 car doesn't really sit with me. Everything from the Cerbera forwards was a big jump up in performance, IMO.
Certainly slower then mine 0-60 accelerating and also mid range acceleration. But who's counting wink
Err, you? Nice motor Peter don't get me wrong but we're comparing 'highly' modified with standard are we not? Out of the box a Speed six, and I've had one wink or an AJP is always quicker than an RV8 car. RV8 cars have a wealth of development behind them [mostly done by the likes of ourselves] But there is no denying that fact that standard, [or near standard] there is no comparison hippy

Quite right Mac.

Just saying "my" RV8 will see off most of the tiv engined cars in the real world. It just can wink

Gentlemen could one of you please explain this Tiv reference I keep seeing? I am assuming the RV8 refers to the Rover V8 engine!

RV8 = Rover V8.
Tiv = TVRs own engines they designed and built. AJP V8 in 4.5 or 4.2 litre flat plane crank and a straight 6 in 3.6 or 4 litre. Many have been modified so you might see a 4.3 or 4.7 etc.

Tiv = TVR. 'My Tiv is a Tuscan.'

So 'Tiv engine' refers to the bespoke AJP engines TVR 'made'. For some reason refs to 'AJP' tend to mean the V8 version whereas the six cylinder is referred to as 'S6'.
