Hi. I'm looking to buy my first Chimaera. Can anyone recommend dealers in the South/ South East - I appreciate there aren't that many. Fernhurst, TVR101, any others?
Any advice much appreciated.
Thanks.

I would recommend travelling far and wide to get the right car rather than sticking to your locality. Also consider a private buy from a well known owner (TVRCC or PH).

Both of those specialists have decent reps though and they would be good to narrow down the spec you want (engine size, Mk1/2/3). Up in the Midlands James Agger and Tony Gilbert are well respected.

I'd agree that it is worth travelling a fair distance for a good 'un.
Gives you a good run back in it for starters smile
I went about 150 miles when I bought mine.
HHC up in Hexham. Great guys but a tad too far for you maybe.

Cheers ....

Don't forget David Gerald in Redditch who has specialised in TVRs since the dawn of civilisation.

I travelled 5,500 miles, from HK to HHC, and echo these comments about great guys. Worth travelling for the right car ...

Hi Downsy

As as sideline, it would probably be a good idea to join the TVR Car Club and pop along to a local meet near you. Chatting to other members and owners will learn you some invaluable advice and support and also you be in the know if anyone's looking to sell. I'm based in the South-East and there's always a good turn out of people at various club meets in and around the region. Have fun finding the right car for you. Need anymore info please give me a shout.

OP, depending on your budget you could do worse than chat to Dan Taylor at Taylor TVR.

Dan has a couple of Chimaera rebuild projects on the go that would be a great investment if you can stretch the budget to reflect a car that has had a lot of work done on it.

My budget unfortunately won't stretch to something like a rebuild, hence the need to careful and get the best all round car for the money I have.

As for the TVRCC, I will be joining. I need all the help and support I can get!

Thanks

I've bought cars from both HHC (a Tuscan 2) and TVR Mads (a Tamora)

Can happily recommend both places!

Oh and any excuse so:

Any excuse!
