I can't get to the January Berks meet as I'll be up North for work that week. I'm ready to go shopping and really want to get up close with some TVRs, talk to owners, clue myself up on what to look for and where. I'd be really grateful for a poke around some time over the next couple of weeks. I'm buying the teas. Least I can do.

I'm based in Richmond, but willing to travel. I'll be shopping for a Chimaera, most likely a 450. I have Steve Heath's (excellent) book, but nothing like seeing for real.

If willing owners can PM me or reply below, I'll suggest what seems a mutually convenient location to meet up. Or if there's a regular meet I'm not aware of - Surrey group, Ace?

Thanks! Excited.

I have a Cerbera you can take a look at, comes with the added advantage of child friendly rear seats.

Both good ideas, I can get to Marlow after work easy enough (Slough). But it'll be dark!

When a SS comes around I'm generally there. But once a decision is made I don't do patience.

Always up for a chat.

If you want to see a chimaera in bits, I am rebuilding the engine and carrying out various mods at the moment.

Surrey based near Dorking.

My old area in fact the familes old area as Mother was born in Dorking. I worked for Dorking Autos (recovery driver) for a while Mum and Dad met working from E.J. Bakers (Vauxhall/Bedford dealers) at their Vincent land works. Once married they moved to Salfords by the common then to Horley in 68......... Miss this hills as it's darned flat here.

You have some good dealers around your area ............................. luck so and so!

I don't think being dark would matter, at this point I would have said a chat and a drive out to see if you can get a feel for the car and see if it really is what you want.

Berks meet is a very good one and usually very well attended with lots of models there.

Surrey meet can be thin on the ground for TVRs.

Used be a selection of TVRs go to the ACE Cafe to - can't recall the night.

Go down to Fernhurst and have a poke round their stock of Chims.

I do quite like the tams but they're a bit out of budget, and the V8 itch needs a goo hard scratch!

Just down the road from me (I'm in Mayford). Is it always at the Jovial Sailor? And 4th Thurs of every month? Might pop down. Although it's too close so will have to take a detour smile

Jovial is the current venue. Always the 4th Thursday. Ingnore venue as printed in Sprint. Been asking for a year for it to be changed.

Great - i thought it was just me. They are massively irritating over the hill middle age wannabes. I find a long heavy blast on the wash wipe is good. Like clearing away bug st.
