What stuff would you hate to see in the new TVR?
Discussion
As this thread is about things you don't want to see, I'll have to put it like this. I don't want to see an old fashioned key for starting. I loved the floor starter on my Minivan - it was quirky. Some kind previous soul has fitted a nice push button start on the dash of my Chim (only they never wired it up - another job to do). Be interesting to see if the car is fitted with a modern steering column module/lock for security reasons. If so, please, no key card a la Renault.....
In addition to the key only start (and the button that mustn't be mentioned that I and a few other TVR owners like )
I would hate to see...
The front lifting too much under heavy acceleration causing a slight loss of steering feel (and cheek clenching)
Strange disconcerting squeaking/groaning noises from somewhere around and underneath me when corning at pace
Brakes that only start to work after ten laps (or never in the winter)
An unfathomable fuse box with accessibility issues
A wiring loom similar to the one I removed from my Chimaera
A pram hood that you can't see over when it's folded down
A handbook that didn't include the phrase 'slow in fast out'
I'm sure there's more...

Proper got me laughing that last point. I would hate to see...

I bought a starter button for the Chim,,, never fitted it but I might one day if your going to have a starter button there's nothing better than an E Type one,,,
I'd just say keep the analogue feel, but the tech top draw.

If you ever drove a Tuscan 1 the squeaking groaning noises from underneath you when cornering would be your bottom as per the acceleration at your point No 1I would hate to see...

Stuff
If you ever drove a Tuscan 1 the squeaking groaning noises from underneath you when cornering would be your bottom as per the acceleration at your point No 1Front end lift was cured with 300/400 springs and Gaz Mono's... and a good full geo.. totally transformed the driving experience Still get the strange noises cornering though, mostly on track days....
Hopefully the 'I might die any moment' experience of the Tuscan 1 didn't put you off TVR's completely....
Chilli
Off any bus from my childhood.......so much a part of my memory I think I will install it in my Chimaera.
It needs a new dash anyway, so I can make the extra hole while changing the dash.
The only other bus memory is the tickets........looked just like school dinner cabbage.
So it's the "Push Once" button, not the bus tickets, for the Chimaera dashboard.

Any autonomous features at all.
...
I'm not sure about that one - TVR were building self-driving cars long before everyone else decided it was cool. Just a couple of months ago, I was exiting a roundabout when the Tuscan decided all by itself that it was bored of the road, and wanted to go and play in a nearby field... Any autonomous features at all.
...
(miraculously no damage to car or owner, apart from a slightly bruised ego!)

Not quite 50 yet but loved to drive our Routemaster. And yes, it indeed had a starter button (switch).
It looked considerably different to yours though
And "pushing once" was usually not long enough to get 10 litres of lump started

Perfect answer in its entirety
You won me over with the timing cover

Thank you, thank you. I hope this is what they were referring to when saying that sorting out the ergonomics was a priority. Lose the crap, keep the madness.

Like you with the Tuscan, I have experienced my cerbera driving itself, and it is not pleasant. Which is why I don't want to see any further autonomous features....(miraculously no damage to car or owner, apart from a slightly bruised ego!)
Glad you were ok.
