If anyone is interested in a trackday or two this year, do you fancy joining a group? Circuit Days will give us a group discount depending upon numbers, so I if you are thinking about it, do post which one/s you fancy and I will have a chat with them smile

https://circuit-days.co.uk/

There seem to be group of us planning to go to Spa in October biggrin if you fancy joining us? Quite a few Cerberas tongue out

Always good to have something to look forward to at this time of year! smile

As always I will be up for joining (in Ginetta or the Chimaera) - anyone got any dates booked for March yet?

Liking the enthusiasm which is starting to appear smile. I am specifically looking at Circuit Days to take advantage of the Group discounts which will be available, so if any of their dates and locations appeal, then if you could say which ones you fancy, we can negotiate a good rate smile.

+1.
The TVRCC use to do 6-8 track days a year, but now struggles to fill just one. So if you are passionate about TVRs and about trackdays, this one needs supporting and then they'd probably do two or three a year? It uses instructors who race TVRs and is done to break even, not make a profit, so it's usually cheap. Prices and details will be published circa March. There is the Pre-8Ts TVR Gathering on 3rd Sept, so an excuse to make a TVR weekender of it.

Also well worth consideration is the TVRCC NL Zolder 16th June. It's a Friday, so you could do this trackday, then bomb down to the Le Mans 24 Friday evening; or stay local and have a weekend at Spa or The 'Ring; or alternatively maybe a bit of culture in Amsterdam, Dusseldorf or Bruxelles etc. This one is quite strict on noise, although I've never had a problem with a TVR fitted with a standard exhaust (obviously not rev-ing it hard enough ;-)

+1 for the above. Unfortunately, TVRCC Trackday clashes with S Club Tour, so, having bemoaned the lack of a TD in the last few years, I can't attend the one they have organised. Not happy.

What sort of discount are they offering we get 10 percent from Javlin and MSV for a group of five cars it just gives you more options for dates.

something to reflect on (having done 40+ trackdays in 2016) - the financials of trackday costs are quite simple - 'track cost / number of cars' = price per car. So obviously the less you pay the more cars they need to stuff on track.

The pecking order of quality goes thus - (low = best)

1. GoldTrack / RMA
2. MSV
3. Open Track
4. Javelin

Open Track did recently say there were going to increase prices + therefore hopefully lower numbers.

I won't go near Open Track / Javelin anymore - too much time lost and money spent for low amounts of quality time on track.

Don't know yet, just getting a rough idea of interest smile. They've been good to us in the past.

Most of my experience has been with Circuit Days and I have no complaints. Open pit lane, plenty of track time and a good balance of allowing fun without being too restricting. I hear your comments though smile.

^^^^^^ this.
He's right you know.
Open pit brings many to the party,,, trouble is there's always some divvi falling off so it's usually a closed pit lane if you get my jist.
Also if your An expert like Nick, it's very dangerous when coming across a beginner.
The best trackday I've attended was split into groups by level of experience.
Far safer for everyone and less accidents.
Just saying smile

I am sure there is merit in what you both say and the debate on which trackday company is best.

However, I started the thread just to see if anyone fancied joining in with a group of us who are going to do some trackdays this year with Circuit Days. Purely being sociable smile. Their dates this year work well for me and other friends. I have attended their events before and for me, they run a great day, so I am happy. I have used other trackday companies and also had a good time.

Unfortunately, I think it's the nature of the sport that people will sometimes fall-off.

If you fancy coming along, then great, but no pressure smile.
