I don`t know the dealer or driver but this sort of thing is bad news for friends and family, my heart goes out to them all, It may sound harsh but if I was going to go then doing something I enjoyed would be the way for me not laid in bed suffering from old age.
I have lost three very close friends in accidents and one of them my father in a serious rta.
Lets hope that they have unlimited horse-power in heaven

Oh bugger.

Condolences to the family of both parties, hope the driver pulls through though.

Be careful out there, these cars can normally out-break/out-corner/out-accelerate any car on the road, it other drivers you have to be wary of.

Not just other drivers though... sometimes you may have to look at the actual driver of the car.

my deepest sympathy to all concerned, we all need to be careful with our own driving and that of others around us.

Agreed, what people dont realise esp. with cars like the TVR is the acceleration, many a time when dad was test driving on the M55 (sticking to the speed limit ) people would just pull out misjuding his speed or cut up on the roundabouts.

We dont know the full story of what happened. Untill we do....just be wary.

I now NEVER drive on the m-ways without my lights on.

Even more so if you ride a bike...

Will someone please say which dealership this was. Is there any reason why that can't be said?

I heard this dreadful news at Donington today.

Condolences to the family concerned and to the
dealership staff.

He was indeed a terrific guy who gave me my first test
drive in a Cerbera a few years back and he was very
passionate about TVR.

A truly sad day.

I am truly lost for words...this is so sad.

He took me on my first TVR drive, sold me my first car and only a few weeks ago took me out in a Sagaris.

We will be thinking of his family and friends....

Condolences to the families involved.

A truly sad day, the passenger in any car rarely has anything they can do in a situation like this...

This is shocking and very, very sad.

Irrespective of the circumstances of this accident it must be a moment of huge anxiety for a salesman giving the keys to a high performance car to a prospective punter and then getting into the passenger seat.

I would have great trouble giving a prospective and most likely unknown punter the keys to my Tiv and getting in the left hand seat with a few muttered 'let's take it easy' comments.

It's the reason I will be selling my car to a dealer when its time to change - unless the buyer is prepared to buy it without a test drive.

My condolences to everyone involved in this horrible incident.

As nothing yet has been posted about the circumstances of the accident, don't you feel it prudent not to start talking about who was to blame?
