I just hope that he didn't suffer...

Maybe Dealers should let potential buyers go it alone?

A tragedy by all accounts; my condolences to all involved.

As nothing yet has been posted about the circumstances of the accident, don't you feel it prudent not to start talking about who was to blame?

Agreed.

It is probably a requirement of the insurance taken out by the dealers that a member of staff accompanies all test drives. Odd, really, as there is little chance of a passenger being able to help in such circumstances and it just adds to their liability. I had a colleague, a first class and Class One driver, killed in similar circumstances in a Porsche. The really irritating thing was that, had he been driving, he would still be alive today. If he could not stop a driver over-reaching himself then there is no chance for the rest of us.

Sticking my neck right out, as the LRI is the only A&E hospital for miles around, TMS in Melton Mowbray would be a good bet...

Extremely nice guy. Sold me my 350 last year.

Was only speaking to him a few weeks ago about the Sagaris.

Far too young an age to die.

Oh my god I am absolutely horrified. Pick up my new Tuscan from him last weekend, he took me out for my test drive. although i only met him a few times during my transaction, he was a really nice bloke, he was'nt just a salesman, he had a real passion for TVR.
A very very sad day indeed.
My sincere condolences to his family.

Please, I don't want to jump on a soapbox during such a heartbreaking time, but why would no one post the dealer and person involved's name?

To say someone had died and not say who or where puts people in an incredibly frustrating situation, as many people know people from some dealerships very well. They NEED TO KNOW if it's someone they know, to save them making frantic phone calls around the countyside.

I am sure it was confirmed very early one which dealship and which employee it was, so can someone please explain why this was not posted?

If there is a very good reason, please let me know.

At the time of initial post it wasn't confirmed. Its a sensitive subject I suppose and no-one wants to be seen to have put their foot in it so to speak.

Its been made known now anyway so it shouldn't be a problem.

However, can I suggest we keep all speculation and discussion about the circumstances off PH until it's been formally released - this is a sad enough time without pointless rumour-spreading....Toby deserves better than that.

Just to echo the condolences to all.

It really does suck that the poor guy was just doing his job.
