Can anyone recommend a good diff reconditioner?
Rear end clonk has turned out to be a broken diff bearing and i'd like to get it fixed quite soon.

Also, has anyone fitted another type/manufacturers diff that can replace the BTR (British Tyre & Rubber)diff?

cheers

You could try asking Giles Cooper at the TVR Centre in Barnet his diff went on the line in race 1 of the Tuscans at Snetterton last week end - oops !!

I had my Cerbera diff rebuilt by Steve at Thames Valley Racetech.

Fernhurst are fitting a new diff to my Griff in the next few days - Sounds like the same fault. They offered me the option to get the old one reconned by a different engineering outfit from the one they, (and the factory) have used in the past. They switched suppliers due to big quality problems. The price difference was about £150 + 10 days without the car. Might be worth giving them a call.

Mine is being done at the moment - Thames Valley Racetech use a company in/near St Albans - not sure who it is. I wouldn't fancy taking the old one out myself without a ramp/pit though.
