Pointless video. Every few years Harry Metcalfe turns up to look at the same prototype for a ridiculous folly of a vehicle that won't ever be built and struggles to even start and run. It's had 2 features in EVO in the past. Do we need to hear about it again?

He also looked at a barn full of TVRs that don't ever get used. He trailed all the way from Oxfordshire to Lancashire for what?

It's a shame it never hit the market. The boat side may be a little pointless but the general layout, offroad ability, etc. was fascinating. I love it. Any new footage is great.

Crazy device! I doubt whether this thing is really as practical as Peter imagined. But I think it's amazing that he went through with it.

It's great that the TVR collection still exists. But there are probably a few more cars on the site that you can't see.


It's crazy how time flies, I still remember the article when Harry drove the Scamander out for the first time.

Yes, I remember that article too. I find Harry's Garage very interesting and I like his honest and understated, yet enthusiastic reviews and opinions. My ideal day out would be a drive through the Trough of Bowland on some of the UK's best roads, through stunning countryside, a nice meal in a Lancashire country pub, then a look in a great shed at some fantastic cars and take in what the history and depth of meaning those cars had. This is after all a car lovers website.
I should imagine Harry enjoyed a spin out to Lancashire in his Lotus, or whatever his chosen steed was that day. I might be slightly envious of Harry, but I'm glad I'm not bitter!

Great video. Imagine how exciting it must've been for Joe to have Peter as his old man, designing, engineering, tinkering and building some truly unique stuff. Hard for the whole family, especially kids, to have lost him whilst they were so young but what a brilliant sentiment, getting down to the dealership and picking a TVR each for when they come of age.
I really enjoy Harry's approach in his videos too. Just keeps things simple and focuses on the vehicles and stories attached to them.

You'd have to be a real miserable individual not to see the joy in it. A really, really, miserable and boring individual.

Remember that a lot of Harry's audience isn't British so won't know the car or even tvr. This will all be new to them

To be fair it was 9 years ago since his last video on it, and a lot of people would not of known about the Scamander before now - which can be seen by the number of views which is already double his previous video on it.

Its only us old gits that remember it and think it seems like yesterday

Pointless post. Every few days NegativeNancy turns up to post some drivel about TVR's, carrying a rediculous chip on their shoulder over something, that seemingly will never be resolved, trying to generate an argument that they cant build and struggles to even start and run.
Do we need to hear this again?

The trough is a very pretty road, but very narrow and full of cyclists, its too twisty and tight with such poor forward visibility that's its not a good TVR road, there are however plenty of great driving roads in the area.If you need local info on great pubs and roads in the area give me a shout.
