Made the Ace, got v.wet, then sat in traffic all the way into Central London. Unfortunately, the marshals started off the convoy by directing everyone via the Central Middx Hospital, resulting in quite a few of us getting stuck in heavy traffic in Willesden, Kensal Green, Kensal Rise, etc. All in all, it took us nearly 3 hours to get to Downing Street from the Ace, but we did enjoy the slow TVR convoy along Piccadilly; that was the highlight of the day for us. Low-light, someone in Willesden throwing a drinks can from an upper floor onto our roof.

All the best to the TVR workers who have lost their jobs.

cheeky said:

Thanks to the police for letting so many of us park in the middle of Whitehall. Was surprised not to see more TVRs going round and round Parliament Square getting the back out...

Might have got it "out of shape" a little but, but it is awfull slippery after all that rain isn;t it officer cop

Have to say though, the police were very restrained and understanding of us!!

Excellent run today - traffic was heaving but it was great seeing so many people on the streets taking photos & generally appreciating the cars.

The white Tuscan with flames coming out the exaughst, sounded and looked amazing! The wheel spinning action on Piccidily was great as well.
It made my day.

Unfortunately, due to other commitments, we were unable to attend London Thunder.

Having watched this unfold over the past few weeks, we think a tremendous effort has been put in, and each person individually deserves a special thank you.

The Organisers
Absolutely fantastic - to put this together in such a short time, and directing a logistical nightmare. And what a great Website!

The Workers
Ladies and Gentlemen, we are on our sixth TVR, and can only thank you for many years of FANTASTIC motoring, pride and enjoyment. Without each of you, our cars would never have given us such pleasure and exhilaration - which we have shared throughout Europe. From the little boy in a supermarket car park in France, who we told if he worked hard enough, would deserve one of these cars one day, to the kind concierge in Casino Square who shouted "I love TVR's - Park HERE!!", never would these moments have happened without you. Thank You.

The Drivers
London Thunder - we watched remotely, clicking onto each Webcam we could find, and finding a TVR in every picture - utter pride in your efforts today.

The Ace Cafe
Such a great choice for the meeting spot, and obviously so well organised

Pistonheads
Without the passion that has appeared on this website (starting with the Blackpool Rally), this would never have happened. Thanks to Dave and the team for helping with the Organisers efforts.

Let's hope all of these efforts are not in vain, and the marque may live long into the future.
