Does anyone else see a vague similarity between the Hellcat and that CAD model in Autocar?

Maybe this would be a good place to build Mellings new sportscar. The TVR brand is strong, should help it sell.

I support anyone buying TVR with the intentions of producing real sports cars. If Al Melling (and a financial consortium?) buy TVR then they will get my support. If they release something suitably tasty in the coming years I'll be in the queue to buy one too.

As Derek said, if they did it right then countries such as Germany/Benelux would also be reasonable markets to target.

I don't care what Smolensky says/thinks/dreams he is going to do. They won't sell many 120k TVRs, especially if it starts to look like an Italian brand.

I even volunteer the consonants from my forename if the new TVR UK can't use the name TVR. Just call it TFR. Close enough

If Melling and or a British consortium buy BA and set up manufacture with the Blackpool team I'll buy a new car from them. If it looks like a TVR,sounds like a TVR goes like a TVR and is built in Blackpool by the ex TVR team it bloody well is a TVR whatever name is on the bonnet

I for one ,sincerely hope that ;
A) racingpartners is a genuine bloke with connections to AM
B) AM is really interested in TVR
C) AM is watching this thread , if so,
Please Big Al , resurrect TVR , fit your V8 , sort SP6 , and develope your Hellcat V10 as a TVR and build the buggers in the UK ,preferably Blackpool , if not the N. West.

Imagine this body shape fitted with the V10 cloud9

And the Tuscan 2 with the 24v V8 evil.

Tuscan V8 , I for one would definately buy one , find the money and buy one , it would be that simple , some cars have that affect ,this would be one of them.

Ditto. I'd definitely buy a new TVR whilst under AM's direction.

Not that cheap. You could buy an LS7, unlock the ECU, and get 580PS for around £8.5k.

Not if you import a chevy engine from the States, say from Americanspeed or the Enginefactory. You would get similar power for the same price but in Dollars and with the US$/£ rate close to 2, you'd be paying a little over half that amount in Sterling.
