Moving on from hijacking Davids thread for Southampton/Salisbury thread, perhaps it should be South Hampshire, TVR/PH's btw .

This Saturday is a round of the TVRCC Speed/sprint championship at Goodwood, not sure of the timinggs but normally practice is around 0900 with the actual sprinting taking most of the day. If you've not seen them in action before its certainly worth a look and a tyre kicking/chat with the guys that not only polish their cars but drive them in anger too .

It even has other marques such as BM's/porkers and some apparently mundane things you'd never expect to see in a sprint to keep all sections of PH content.

I believe there should be around 12 TVR's there this saturday, including Steve Heath and the slightly modified (now) purple Wedge . From my point of view there should be three V8S's including a 500V8S that I must see , and the usual selection of griffmaeras.

I intend to combine the day out with a blat up the Meon Valley then across to Goodwood early(ish), same route as the last blat for those that went, anyone else want to go along for the drive or meet up there.

Possibly meet you there Harry but will have dropped the family off in Chichester first.
Won't be in the TVR so will park a reasonable distance away.
Like Havant.

Open to suggstions for a starting point, possibily wickham square again should still be ok early(ish), say 0830 then a pick up at the Meon Hut at 0900.
I don't think I'll lead the way this time though. When I put my foot down last time for 5 minutes, I then had to spend the next 10 minutes at 45mph waiting for the snake to catch up, an advantage of knowing the road well me thinks .
What say thee.

How much is it, and is it just a case of turn up park and watch? Is there a web address or anything I can check?

I will of owned my first TVR 4 weeks tomorrow, so would like to celebrate

Silly question from a first time visitor, is there TVRCC parking areas? What part of Goodwood do they drive on?

Sorry for the silly questions

Usually the black bit, but sometimes the green grassy bit and occasionally the gravel bit.

Hopefully round the edge of the Aerodrome bit!

Got it, tony YHM !!
If anyones thinking about meeting at 0830 without posting let me know. As it seems that its only me and T88CAN going and seing as we are both south of Fareham what about meeting at Huxfords shell garage on newgate lane first at 10:30 then sweep up the meon and across to Goodwood in time for the start of the actual sprinting.
Gives me time to walk the dogs at a decent hour too.

OK for me to meet at Newgate lane.
I'll be coming from Southampton. 10:30 is far more respectable.

Thanks

May see you tomorrow as well.
Just got in from the pub and had a quick check of PH!
May decide that the staying in bed option wins but if not see you at Huxfords (Huxfords!! I must be getting old. Remeber when they were a lotus dealer, now Skoda I think!! )

Oops, a bit late spotting this one. I can make it to Huxfords by 10:30 no problem. I need more Optimax anyway - I think there must be a hole in the tank!
