... a link in a recent Triumph Club magazine led me to an anoracks delight of a web site, called the Internet Movie Car database or www.imcdb.org for short, as the name suggests it does exactly what it says.

Other than the requesite Clarkson DVDs there were a few other occasions that TVRs appeared in celluloid/video.

I think my personal favourite is the MkI Vixen in the Saint.

Don't have a grab but an Ocean Haze Griff featured heavily in an early 90s one off with Rik Mayall and Helena Bonham-Carter (playing a strippergram at his Stag Night). I'm sure it can be found somewhere - it was shot in Scarborough.

The car in the first photo is not a 3000S, it's a later S series (probably an S1), as you can see the struts supporting the rear targa.
In an episode of "Some Mother's do 'ave 'em" Frank Spencer is down a manhole, and there is an orange Vixen on the street in the background.
A BBC series in the late 1980's called "Pulaski" (I think) had a blue 350i (D435VFR) being shot at. I remember going to Oulton Park about a week later and seeing it parked up - amazingly there wasn't a bullet hole to be seen!

There is a tuscan 2 I think in the advert where football players kick a pepsi can about in an underground carpark. I think it was a world cup ad.

thought I saw a chim in CSI Miami, it was just a flash outside a hotel, both me and the wife looked at each other at the same time and said was it. Keep an eye out on the re-runs. not 100% it was too quick and wasnt really looking

I think TVR were mad not to try and get a car in the Bond films. British, stylish etc etc, the Aston was good but I think a new car (based around the Sagaris and Tuscan) would have propelled TVR into the spotlight and obviously increased sales. Plus there would have been another sexy TVR in the offering!

I read somewhere that Ford outbid BMW by several million pounds to get 007 back into an Aston. If TVR were to outbid either of those two, they'd have gone bust...
