I think there have been problems like this reported previously on PH. Maybe a search of PH will get you a phone number or something.

Rob is coming to Gang on the Green, so if you don't have an answer by then, we can always ask him!

Hmmm.... just clicked the link in my first post, and up came his site. I even refreshed it to check it wasn't in my cache..... all seems fine!
What happens when you try and go to the site?

Nope - doesn't work for me and I'm working via a dial-up. No servers or anything in the way.

I get an "Action Cancelled" message rather than "Page Not Found", which is a bit weird....

Odd that. Still working fine here. Who are you connected/dialed up to? It could be an internet routing issue with some ISPs. Interestingly, the website *appears* to be hosted in Canada!

findasportscar gets me this message on ntl cable modem:

Descrption: Unable to locate the server named "www.atalantasoftware.co.uk" --- the server does not have a DNS entry. Perhaps there is a misspelling in the server name, or the server no longer exists. Double-check the name and try again.

Ah. It's gawn for me as well now. Looks like the DNS for alalantasoftware.co.uk is stuffed.
It looks like someone has broken it.....

Best to Ring Rob on his mobile. He's currently looking for a Chim for me and admits that the website is out of date and he's struggling to keep up with it due to amount of time he spends on the road (looking for my car hopefully !)

I hope to get him to look for one for me in the next few months

Is this your first TVR? If so, what made you decide to go for Rob rather than going to a dealer?

Hope you enjoy your car when he finds it for you....

Sorry for going a lil O/T.

Yes this is our first Tiv after being bitten by the bug at Back Home 2003. I decided to go with Rob for a few reasons,
a) even after reading the bible, wasn't confident that I wouldn't buy a ringer
b) looking at the dealer stock round where we live I wasn't impressed with the quality especially with the inflated prices too ( rusty outriggers etc )
c) Rob's reputation - spoke to a lot of people about him and could find no-one with a bad word to say about him- other than he never replies to his e.mails

Hope he finds one soon

Seems to be where I got to. I can't afford it for a couple more months (and the waiting is *killing* me), however, as it's my first Tiv, and as good as the bible is (cheers shpub!), I'm not confident I could judge a car well enough to not get screwed. Dealers want their fair wedge (business is business), but you only get to look at what the dealer shows you, which is limited to what they get, so you either have to spend a lot of time driving to dealers, or get Rob to do it. I've also not heard a bad thing about him, and so with all that in mind think we will use him to find ours....

Hope you're not waiting too long

Snorky - as soon as I rang him he knew of 2 or 3 suitable G500s, he sent me the details - I went to see it following weekend - picked it up the following week!

Top guy!
