My friend lost everything in a bad fire last year. Took out 25 years of Ford specialist trading, the many years established huge motorcycle breakers shop and part warehouse next door, and part of the bingo hall next door but one.

All businesses continued trading one way or another after the fire.

The motorcycle shop is rebuilt and all but finished and my friends Ford business has refurbished to the point of changing the Victorian premises into a more suitable modern facility. Every cloud, and sorry to hear such sad and terrible news. Great luck for the future.

D'oh!

Have been a loyal customer at Power since owning a TVR, hope they are back up and running really soon.

Condolences to those that have had a car lost or damaged.

Echo everyones responses here.

TVR Power is the closest thing we've had to the 'Factory' since the closure, and Dom and his team has have always got us and others out of trouble when we've cried out for help!

Everones safe and well and that's the most important.

My dad's at bit of a loose end at the moment so give him a call if need anything Dom.

regards
Andy

It amuses me how biased Pistonheads is, sometimes.

If this was anyone other than somebody well known/respected on here, I can guarantee that in the current climate, within the first 3 replies would have been some reference to an 'insurance job'. smile
Congratulations on being that cynic rolleyes
I'm not being cynical. It's merely an observation. I'm as sure as anyone else that it isn't an insurance job. Read my post more thoroughly and pipe down.

Gutting. (no pun intended). I spoke to them just yesterday and they said they were flat out getting cars ready for the bank holiday weekend. What a shame.

Cheers,

FT.

Just heard its not as bad as people think, just confined mainly in the front workshop (where the loos are) so hopefully Dom will be up and running pretty soon.
Glad it was in the middle of the night I guess.
I would have thought the battery would have been disconnected if it had been an electrical fault?
If you need any help cleaning up Dom give us a shout.

It was his use of the rolleyes smilie. No need for it, really. I was pointing out the irony of Pistonheads where everyone is extra nice and supportive if it's 'one of their own'. Which I fully endorse.

And where people are quick to accuse people of criminal activity if they don't know them.

It's just ironic.

For what it's worth, I love the wheels on Pupps Chimaera. How friendly can one be ? wink

dom, if you've lost any records i can help....

the 2 year warrany on my rebuild started last week, not this time last year!

good news that the damage isn't as bad as feared. i've never been there, but if other garages i use are anything to go by, total destruction of the bogs was a good thing!

Dom, really sorry to hear the news but glad that you and the team are OK. Hope very much that you'll be up and running again soon - the TVR community can't afford to lose you.

I'm reminded of Power every time I start the Tamora after you fitted the super sports exhausts - fabulous sound.
