Not the most likely place but goes to show that Germans can appreciate import sportscars - I've posted details over in the Germany forum:

I like this line in the article, (according to Babel Fish - I don't speak German).

`The most beautiful Italian, that ever in England one developed, the Cerbera.'

I lived and worked in Bad Homburg for two years in the late eighties and did visit again in my Tivs in the mid nineties.
I am quit intersted to go again in May as I intend to do the Dutch spring run in the first weekend in May.
Is that exibition stll on then?

Due to run until the middle of March - so unless it is extended due to popular demand you'd be too late.

Right! Been there last weekend with the Cerb and really liked the exhibition very, very much!
Beautiful TVRs, all from German members, some very nice TVaRtwork from Uli Ehret, memorabilia, all in a very nice setting.
And the Zante is there!
Even a diecast model shop in the same building.
The opportunity to enjoy the Autobahn sealed the deal.
Very well organised by Michael Wiring from Central Garage:

Hello Moderators

Could you give this thread a sticky for as long as the exhibition is running?

Cheers Jens

I've been to the exhibition yesterday and was very impressed - Werner Lübke did a great job organising this. Absolutely noticable are the Zante prototype, a plain chassis and the 8 cylinder engines (RV8 and AJP).

If anyone's coming close to Frankfurt go to Bad Homburg and have a look! And - there's no admission wink

Konrad

P.S.: Sadly ours was the only TVR on the parking lot...

Just looked at the pics, an excellent display there.
Particularly the black 3000S and the very original looking Tuscan Challenge car.
White Sag looks stunning as well.

I think the "black S" was a 3000S (ie the convertible M version - the actual S was the later green one) but what a great show so well done whoever arranged that!

Ex Jeff Allam, then me, then to the German owner. Never been painted, all original. Winner of the first series in 1989.

Maybe the TVRCC could set up something like this in Britain.

Central Garage is a Museum and the German TVR CC arranged this with them. Cars at display are private cars.
You can use Babelfish to do a quick translation

Thanks for compliment on pics Stuart.

I needed the money more than I needed a race car at the time...sadly frown

Enjoying the old M thing now though.
