How much power some of the Cerberas are currently running..? Pretty sure I've seen 400bhp+ banded about following visits to Track Car Solutions and Austec, or am I wrong..?
You're not wrong; highest standard engine'd 4.5 I've seen is 429bhp, highest 4.5RR is 440bhp. smile
Harryw did 450 dyno's, but runs 4.2 induction at last count AIRC... not much difference to the wildcat then??? NitroCerbs was also a 4.7 with Nitros that ran 525bhp at 60% NOS I believe, so there is more power to be had from the units in their current form

Great news. 123kg for a 400bhp+ V8 engine. Its these which people should be swapping into their S6 cars, then again with power doing 5 year warrantys theres less point.

Im pretty sure this would go into a Westfield but you wouldnt live long enough to enjoy it hehe

So did he retain the rights to the engine design - or are the changes to get round such problems ?
Just what I was thinking.

And the same goes for his Griffith clone.

Question is what emission rules is it meeting?

Never gonna meet EuroV so what's the life of it?

Unless it has 4v heads and some close coupled cats.
The last time AM had a pr campain for this engine he had designed a 4v head for it and was promising it would meet EuroV regs. scratchchin

No Hellcats sold as it's still in development and I believe they've sold 3 Wildcats.

No, but you'd be more inclined to believe what old Rowley says, rather than AM.

oh dear; more Melling PR, my view this wont happen either.

I wish Ladbrookes would take bets on this; it'll end up the same place as the Norton Nemesis and all the other AL Melling pistonheads touted worldbeaters. Waste of bandwidth.

Was it Melling who announced a V8 Norton Motorbike which never left its garage in cloud cuckoo land?

I dont see why there would be a problem, he got the V8 right in the first place so dont see why he cant improve it. If they can sel it as a crate engine for racing and projects at a sensible price then he will be onto a winner. Shame the same cant be said for that silly Wildcat thing which doesnt even have a roof!

A properly designed sport car, keeps you warm, from its in built heater - the engine - and it shouldn't need a rear screen on open top cars. If it’s designed properly the wind should impede way behind the occupant’s heads.

Like him, loath him, what ever... I would like to know more about this engine?

Lovely piece of cnc work. Be nice to know if it performs as well as it looks...

Phuck, that looks cool. Anyhow, whatever peoples views on him, he's doin' stuff we can't.
PS, those exhaust ports look interesting, wonder how the headers will look?
