I like where your going with this. Very unlikely though, it really is a monster. I'm not even aware of anyone else who has taken an AM engine this far. We had to bespoke many of the parts in-house. Specialist bits like the oil pump were designed and made elsewhere.

Only befitting for the car. The only v12 suitable could have been an AM but it would have been complacent to leave it stock.

Graham,

By the time the new goodies are on mine, you and I will need to have a word to who has the fastest of TVRs...

And an exchange ride in each others' cars wink

Or:

Tuscan Challenge car chassis, Sagaris body, lots of dynamic development -> ultimate track TVR? driving

A Sagaris Speed Twelve GT being a pet pipe dream of mine... smile

Very unlikely I'd let anyone else drive it but yes it would be very interesting to compare. I suggest we do this on a theoretical basis to start with. You have got me wondering what your doing to your car to get it into speed 12 territory? W112BHG is 840HP and weighs about a ton. The new Speed 12 "so to speak" will be less powerful and a little more practical on the road. The AM engine started at something like 550HP and there have been quite a few changes since. You have me intrigued.

Am I right in saying they turned the power down on your genuine sp 12, I'm sure John and Jason was saying it made stupid power but impossible to fuel

No one knows exactly what it is capable of due to breaking the dyno when it was tested. Something around 1000HP is probably about right in full racing spec. 980HP is often quoted. The cars also ran with restrictors when racing to bring the power down even further down to around 650HP.

Are John and Jason other engineers on this project? Why would this vehicle be impossible to fuel? What is the given power to fuel ratio required?I do not understand the negativity surrounding this vehicle, someone has placed a considerable amount of money into this project and so would require on return a vehicle that is road worthy and without longterm causation problems. quote=richtvr]

If you are able to find any remote bit of negativity on this subject you must be a real barrel of laughs at a party wink

try as i might i cannot make nosey racer into any anagram approximating "moleskins"

ETA "arse coney" is the best i can do, with an "r" left over, alternatively "arsey crone"

Good job Nosey Racer didn't see my SC build thread, I wouldnt want to be responsible for anyone self harming !

I used to work for one of the suppliers and remember them saying that they could not get enough fuel into the chamber because of the size of the injectors.

Doesn't sound like anything that more/bigger pumps/injectors wouldn't solve..

Breaking the rolling road - lol. You just need to get the RR operator to sign a disclaimer rather than the other way round hehe

Any more pics of the beasts?

No Jason and John are not involved in this prodject, John was involved in the original speed 12 prodject for the factory and one night a few years ago me Jason and John was talking about it and how it came about

The timing this thing was for sale... I had just spend a serious wad of cash on other toys, or it would have been MINE.

(Desperately hoping someone gets fed up in a few years having two of the same...)

Great work Graham - utterly fantastic to see the progress and work coming together.

For some reason, I'm REALLY looking forwards to Chatsworth this year....

.... (really hoping that your very special cars will be there)

Colour - deffo needs to be a reflex or pearleasent paint finish to highlight all of those outragious curves! Reflex charcoal looked great - but the Speed 12 could go LOUDER!

If that happens, remember a certain person you promised a test drive too ;-) haha

As an aside, very pleased to see the progress! Can't wait to see this on the road!

Unfortunately I won't be at Chatsworth having sold my S6 Cerbera and the S12's just won't be ready in time.. BHG "Big Hairy Gonad" is waiting in the queue to have work done and BFV "big friendly vehicle" will probably be heading towards the paint shop about then.
