You could always hit them with a caveat of no nasty digs. After all Jackie Stewart and Captain Slow said the TVR they drove was great.

I would say (IMHO only) don't give it to anyone to test against any very expensive new car! It won't win!
BUT!!! it would of, when it first came out.
If it/they do go on the clock, against cars of today, fare enough, But! Compare it with cars of its time.
We all know It's a monster, but it's old.
It will not get in the top 5.
I've only seen a youtubr clip of the origenal, and the Stig could'nt handle it, he span off.
The Speed 12 is a Monster, we all know that, but please, it will never compete with the multi billion pound projects of the top car companies.
Just look at the VW Veyron, It's not a Golf GTI twin turbo/twin superchrged with a jet fighter towing it, is it.
Lets all enjoy this car as the fastest thing on the planet, when it was first made.
Some idiot boss man decided not to make them for the road. Such a shame.
Just to have a TVR as the fastest car of all time, (Guiness book of records was sooooooo close) would have been great.
I hope you enjoy your car as much as we all do.
It's SPECIAL (sorry, they're).
Please don't take any of this the wrong way. If I was a football team owner, I'd sell it and buy one of your cars, or make my own.
Out of bread crumbs and butter beans. Well the mice from Bagpuss done alright, making chocolate bickies, lol.
Keep up the good work my friend.
If I'm talking a load of Bo88ocks, please tell me as I would love the Speed 12 to do the bizz, in 2012.

Actually you make a good point. Sometimes it's best to keep legends as legends. You wouldn't put a Spitfire up against a Eurofighter, but that doesn't take away our admiration and affection for the old Spit'...or detract in any way from its genuine superiority during its own era.

If you put a Spit up against a euro/jet fighter you know the outcome!
The Speed 12 to me is my best car!
You make me sound negative, but I'm not!
The Speed 12 is my all time top car (apart from a 959, with aircon, lol lol.)
This is an amazing 10 year old car (we know that).
It's a bit like Clarkspitonhim, what ever his name is, and the whole programme, the top TVR was the fastest FULL STOP. That Stig bloke just could'nt handle it. He spun it off. Should of got me to drive it, He-he
We all love the speed 12, you are such a lucky man. I would say that even people who spent big time to buy a Ferrari envy you.
I just envy the poor people who waisted their money on your special car.
Right, think it's time to have my afternoon nap, nighty night.

Stig spins a lot of cars.. He crashed the koenigsegg! I think the 12 would undoubtadly be the fastest car by pure facts alone. It has a ridiculous amount of rubber on the road, it has downforce and an increadibly wide track, it weighs a ton, it has 900 bhp. You guys seem to forget that this was developed as a full on Le Mans car, and the current iteration is just about the spec it last raced in, only with more bhp. It was designed to go around a track very fast, and I expect it would do just that - much like when they had the DBR9 race car there. It would be good to have it on there if only to have a good bit of film made about it, the sound of it going round a track properly filmed with high end equipment and in HD. There are very few videos of the 12 even running, let alone driving at high speed. It would be great to see on there

And yeah, the Cerb 12 is a completely different car to the original 12. Also the Cerb 12 runs a bucket head rather than finger followers that the original 12 and the racers had, so different engine too!

I am amazed! I stopped staring at this thread, and I missed it!
G1ABB, congratulations on the first car's completion. You, as well as the entire team must be very proud(, not to mention excited and giddy).
Do you have an expected completion date for the other car? Are there any more progress pictures you'd be willing to share?
Best, B.

Best, B. Left to do on No.2 is put the panels and doors on which have been painted, sort the transparent stuff, a bit of wiring, air jacks, lots of little bits like harnesses, rolling road to get the engine mapped properly. I think that's about it!
