I know that sounds like an advert, but i have to say i bought one of these after seeing it mentioned on this forum, and upon opening the packet i thought i may as well have burned the fiver it cost.....but i was so wrong.

Well, i cut a section off, thinking, i cant believe im doing this, it just looks like a sponge, and followed the directions, just added water, and started to rub the leather with it....and i really was utterly speachless eek

You dont realise quite how much muck and grime is on the interior until you start to rub with this thing - i have a portland grey and black interior that i had cleaned with gliptones liquid leather cleaner and conditioner just last week, but this magic eraser thing makes it look like i hadnt even tried.

So...would really recommend one. Best £5 you could spend, honestly. (available from all reputable retail outlets wink )

But, you still need to follow with liquid leather conditioner cause of the smell cloud9

....but then perhaps i am just odd liking the smell of new leather hehe

I didnt take before and after pics sorry...because quite honestly i didnt expect it to make a scrap of difference.

But, be warned, it got me into trouble, because i said to my wife - i will just be a minute to see if this thing actually works or not...and i was over an hour, because it made such a big difference that i couldnt just stop, i had to do the whole lot - or it would have looked odd!!

Yes, is is the JML one, i got mine from Focus

edited to say i used a clean white cotton towel (well, and old one from the house) to wipe over the bits i had rubbed over - its now black and brown!!

It's possible that the thread you saw was mine as I put this up a while ago as was equally astounded at the results (although my car was shamefully filthy)

for those that can't be bothered to click, here is the "work in progress" pic contained therein

UUmmm. Good results there. Must give it a try. Just one question. How will it behave on seats that have already been re-coloured?.

I got some of the liquid leather cleaner and conditioner and it really does smell nice.

One little tip though, wait until the conditioner has really soaked in and dried for a few hours before sitting arse in car and going for a drive because you stink otherwise of the conditioner hehe

That's impressive, and, same colour as my interior! How many strokes to get that? Was there any of the leather colourant removed?

I'm reliably informed that the most effective way to clean leather is with two clothes - one slightly damp, one dipped in thinners. Wipe with thinners, immediately wipe off with damp cloth.

No tried it myslef, but the guy who told me restores old Fiats and Citroens, so should know what he's talking about.

Just a few light strokes (oo-er!) making sure the eraser wasn't too wet - you can feel when it's working properly.
Then just a quick wipe with a clean towel and Bob's your Uncle!

It just gets the dirt to lift out without any damage to the leather.

5 Erasers for £13 on my ebay watch list at the moment - 220407690362 - I've ordered one as a sample for the TVR, but after showing the missus this thread, she has now suggested that our leather suite would come up nice with it, and after loking at the website, she also thinks the shower may benefit from a magic eraser treatment.

Thanks a bunch fellas....
