I can't help thinking that if TVR had taken this route instead of pushing ahead with their own chocolate engine, they might still be in business today. frown

Thanks for the great comments guys, its good to get some encouragement after all the hard work.

Just to answer a few questions.

Chassis mods were minimal, new engine mounting post were installed but everything else was just heating up some of the tubes and hitting them with a hammer to give a bit of clearance here and there. Nothing more than TVR did themselves on particular bits of the chassis. All other chassis work was repair work. From below, my outriggers looked ok, but on top (only visible with a body lift) they were perished.

The T56 will fit without fouling the transmission tunnel but the chassis indentations just give a bit more clearance. One of my biggest concerns was knocking noises when it first went on the road but all seems good so far.

Traction control is the adjustable Race Logic system with the funky digital adjuster. I've installed the wheel sensors but I need to wire the system up.

Hopefully take it along to a few TVRCC events, I'm on the boarder between Hants and Dorset so should make both their monthly meets at some point.

Cost wise I'd rather not say, not because its alot of money, far from it, more because it would just be a total sum of parts, remember I've paid nobody any labour for this. Read through my previous threads and you find costs for the engine conversion.

Rich.

And cable ties. There are way too few cable ties.

(Seriously, though, that's very yummy indeed.)

Rich,
You know it was worth it now....I must get a ride in it?

Next Hants meet is this Sunday (12th) at Milburys. If you're going let me know..I'll save some petrol and get a tow in the low pressure area behind yours!

External - looks fantastic biggrin The light conversion looks great and the splitter suits - especially with the dark blue colour
Engine bay - as others have commented it looks "factory" not "bodged" (or should that be other manufacturer factory v's standard TVR wink ) - the engine just looks like it was designed to go there and the effort you've gone to make the engine bay look tidy has paid off thumbup
Sound - from that small clip - sounds bloody awesome!!!

Great job - a credit to you thumbup
Now after all that effort - just get out there and enjoy driving "the beast" - the interior re-trim can wait for the crap weather (oh, looking out of the window that's here already wink )

My wife said I shouldn't post the video's as someone would point out the mess hehe Something had to give, over the last 2 years, I've built the TVR, we done the house extension and we're building a Porsche 356 replica nuts

Power wise, I'm kinda hoping to break the 500bhp barrier at the fly with the current set up (6psi, std engine). The supercharger guys, Wortec, recon it should be do able. My set up is basically that of a VXR500, they produced 500bhp with std engine, exhaust, manifolds and the supercharger wasn't intercooled.

There's the option to go to 9 psi and 12 psi. At 12psi with a mild cam apparently 600bhp is achievable. Won't be going there yet though, the idea was to have a Cerbera which could, if needed be used everyday without worring about wearing it out. All that power is just secondary wink
