Flip front fitted with hinge mod so it opens alot wider with a stop built in.An ally rad from Radtec with twin fans fitted as used on the Cerby fitted a treat(thanks for the tip John thumbup)
Decided to go with 17/8" stainless tube for the manifolds, will order the mandrel bends and tube next week.
Cut my thumb at work on Sunday so i'm off work all week, can't do bugger all though cry

I've been looking for some front brake calipers,4 pot AP with the TVR logo would be good.
I'm only using a 16" wheel so i think the CP6600 will be too big, says for use with a 330 dia disc.
Did the early Cerby use another AP caliper with a 300 dia disc with the TVR logo?
search function not working again cry

Hans the Dutchman has (had?) one set left of TVR Branded 4 pot AP6600s to fit 324x28 discs. I had the penultimate set for my SC500 Chim

contact him (he's coming over in the next fortnight too) at hamada@planet.nl

You want the 4 bolt AP calipers, used on the Cerbera 4.2 models, pre 2000.

nice project steve ,can i ask , this bonding the glass in ,on my v8 turbo m , i had a problem of over 135 mph the windsceen would let go of the roof edge for about 7 inches in the middle ,and the rear screen would do the same ... is this a m thing then? , i have nver heard of it and assumed it was because i removed the sunroof and so lost the stiffening effect of the frame ...does the bonding fix it ,and what sort of bonding is it ?

oh something else ,im sure you allready know ,triangulating the wishbone mounts is a good idea ,having had the front n/s bottom wishbone tear its self off the chassis at 60 mph downhill , i can say that its a focussing experience .locking the brakes and full rhdown got me lodged into a lucky layby .

I still have the sunroof fitted, removed the rear screen and was shocked by the wobble hehe
So the sunroof pays no part in stiffening it.I'm going to glass some metal brackets to the roof front and back, then bolt these to the rollbar.

Bonding the glass in would probably be ok on a standard car,but mine and i'm guessing yours with it having a turbo will be good for 160+ so i don't think i would rely on it.If you don't have a rollcage how about glassing some stiffening into the roof front and back?

Adrian told me about the wishbone mounts,i'm new to M's so any info on triangulating the chassis would be great

Yup, that'll do it. laugh Sorry to hear about the thumb. Speedy recovery.
Need to see your progress as mine's so slow. Having to buy tools, fasteners, and supplies on line, or spend days driving around, looking for things.
If the constables still use conventional radar guns, that radiator angle may may help you as well (if you don't use metallic paint). Nice hood hinge arrangement.

Regarding your thumb, try to keep the joint moving, if you can do so without opening the incision. Damn joints stiffen up like mad.

The windscreen trying to get out at speed is an M thing, it's down to Cabin Pressure (bit like the old MGB ragtops with their billowing roof), if you nudge open a window it doesn't happen. Some people bond in fibre glass rope near the top of the screen to stiffen it.

I like the idea of a rod, or two to act as a clamp to hold the dash and roof areas together. As in the B, that could be a decent location for the mirror.

yes i think i will steve ,a bit of rope glassed in to make a sort of d shaped cross section should help . not so worried about the front screen ,althuogh it was a bit of a shock when it pops up .the thuoght of the rear screen dissapearing off down the rd is not v funny . .may also do the little metal tabs on the outside thing to make sure it stays in .although , a vertical spoiler sticking up a couple of inches at the back vixen stylee would perhaps make that a higher pressure area and hold it on too.
ref triangulation , you've reminded me of another mod i did , i'll start a new thread on .

regards
robert.
