Hi Steve

If you are going to pass the pipes infront of the rear wheels and keep the noise below track levels you are going to have to make some kind of custom box and short enough to get the pipes to bend nicely, when i made up my system on the Taimar i thought about doing that way.
With the V6 there is room but it should be interesting to see what you come up with.
How is the car coming on, have you got any up todate pics...
Ill be starting my rebuild in the next few months.
Have you seen the M with the rather nice arches and wheels in the random pictures, I would love to do that to mine.

Love to see how your getting on...

Cambelt
Hi Cambelt,
I'm no further forward with the car,had a family member ill with cancer so i've not had chance to go in the garage, the operation went well though and things are looking up.

I can't see the exhaust being a problem,if needs be i make an oval curved silencer so the pipes arn't a tight radius.

edited to add, just seen the pics of the M,looks like the one with the Audi tt arches it's running 245/45/16 same as me.

Another option is to revise the passenger seat and footwell, and tuck an exhaust box up there, obviously then the passenger will sit with legs straight out and be toasty.

Are you going to run the headers forward a la Tuscan racer/Griff/Chim, that may well give you some options with the above and then just have a passenger side exhaust exit (that way you don't get to burn your leg as well!!!)
Thats an idea i've not thought about, will look into it more when i start on the exhaust.
The headers will run forward gives me plenty of room so no need for tight bends.

It's in aload of bits at the moment,i've bought some AP racing 4 pot calipers for the front, need to draw up the mounting brackets and ally bells for the rotors.
The 3d drawing for the exhaust manifolds are almost complete, looking good and they should flow well with no hotspots.I need to sort out how i'm going to route the exhaust,i've got one good idea how to do it but i have also a wild idea im going to look at too biggrin
The chassis looks in great condition,i will be taking it to work in a few weeks to add some strengthening tubes and gussets, probably fit some new outriggers for the hell of it out of thicker tube to help tie it to the rollcage.
I've also redesigned the bonnet hinge wasn't 100% happy with the last one i made.
Finished the ally shroud around the radiator so all the air coming though the front of the bonnet will go though the rad, that should help with cooling.
That's just about it at the moment i think.

I've decided to go with side exhausts so it will look similar to a cobra, well if your drunk and squint abit hehe

I'm looking at the diff carrier at the moment, not happy with the original TVR design.

When thats sorted I can get a propshaft made up,order some drive shafts and hubs.
The chassis can then be hot sprayed with aluminium then powder coated.
Then its fun time bolting all the new parts together. I hope to be at this stage at the end of summer, that's when you will get lots of pics

Steve,

It looks as though the progress, on our projects, is still running virtually parallel. Kind of funny, considering how long it's been.

Race ya!

I want mine to be running, licensed, and on the road by the end of August, or maybe some time in September.

Best,
B.
I'll be glad to see them both finished Bernard

There goes that aspiration.

Now that I can see the light, at the end of the tunnel, I've already started thinking of the next evolutionary step, for my project. It might be a Boss block, and it may have forced induction. (That could only start years down the road, though.)

Best,
B.
I've an idea for my next project, won't be messing around this time and it will have some serious hp

I'm not in a good place at the moment Bernard,my dad's been diagnosed with motor neuron disease.
So I can't see myself doing anything with it soon.
