Derek,
Got mine too - many thanks indeed, but sadly I can't seem to make it work. I downloaded the Zip file to my desktop and then opened it and followed instructions - the 'Start' page displays, but there are no pictures/graphics and the links won't load - browser message tells me that the page can't be found.
Clearly I am not doing something I should be?
Anyone any ideas's?
Thanks,
Owen
I've not got mine yet but I suspect you just need to extract the files from the zip into a directory. Right click > Extract all.Got mine too - many thanks indeed, but sadly I can't seem to make it work. Guys,
I've had over 400 requests. Brilliant!
At this rate I shall hit the 500 mark.
I've had a number of 'soft bounces'. I've dealt with some but they take time. I've got a girl (at least I hope it's a girl. Bet I end up with a Burt Cruikshank) from a local temp agency to come in on Monday to go through the email addresses and ensure they conform to the Data Protection Act, check for duplications and, if she has time, to deal with the bounces.
I've had a number of requests for articles and even more pointing out errors. I have had quite a few emails thanking me, two calling me a 'TVR god' and one, which I rather like, suggesting that I was a 'Colussus bestriding the TVR forums'. Might have a badge made up for that.
BT Internet stopped my emails at one time because they believed I'd been hijacked by a trojan (Troy wasn't that far from Rhodes) so that put me back a bit.
I've got 52 emails to send tonight (in two lots) and that will be it for the day.

Don't recall ever seeing a fuel line draped over an exhaust manifold on my Griff?? The Griff and Chims are basically the same car, so I can't imagine the Chims having that feature.
The cars are handbuilt so maybe somebody was having a lazy afternoon with his - hopefully a one off.At the right of the pic you can see the fuel hose. Closest distance between manifold and fuel hose is app. 6cm. On the left you see another fuel hose running from the fuel rail (this car has an Aircon) along the plenum to the other side of the engine. Distance of this hose to the manifold is about 20cm. Both fuel hoses are located above the manifold.
But finally it doesn’t matter whether the fuel hoses are located above the manifold or not. Sooner or later the fuel hoses will start to crack due to the massive under bonnet heat and the high pressured fuel may then spray into the engine bay.
It then will be a question of bad luck whether the air fuel mixture gets ignited.
I've gone through all the emails up to 1600 today.
If you haven't received a file, please resend. My email provider gave me a bit of stick and they suggested I was spamming. All settled now they say but for a time it was disrupted with the attachments being stripped. All ok now though.
Total subscribers is up around the 550 mark.
The response has suprised me.
I'm going to discuss future database plans with the temp on Monday so I might make some changes to the system. It takes me a bit over 2 minutes to enter each person's details so that's been 20 hours of data entry.
Thanks for those who've sent in suggestions for improvement and items to cover. Plenum and rocker cover removal, brake shoe removal and brake upgrades are among the favourites. Not to mention the spelling mistakes.
